Savvy Rock Slider Backing Plate Question

Hi There,

Quick question. For those that were lucky enough to purchase Savvy's rock sliders, can someone tell me what the thickness is of the aluminum backing plate used on the inside of the rocker panel? I ended up going with Genright's standard rock sliders and like the aluminum plate over the L-bracket Genright offers.

My Aluminum Savvy Slider measures 2.050 thick with powder coat and clear coat on both sides.

He is asking about the aluminum plate that goes inside the tub I believe. Not the slider itself

My mistake, I took it as the backing aluminum to the slider. I'll go measure the inside backer plate as I should have in the first place.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

The backing plates are 2" x 3/8" 6061 T6 bar stock. Better is 2.5" x 1/2" in the same material.

Mine measures approx. .440 or close to 7/16". I'm using the depth gauge on the end of calipers so it's probably a fuzz strong since it's against the coating material.

Thank you all for the quick help. I am buying new screws with a phillips head instead of the using the small hex style after reading one of MrBlaine's previous posts so going to combine the better screws with the Savvy style interior backing plate.

Do you know if it's possible to make a backing plate for the oem Rubicon rock sliders?
The mounting holes are very close to the floor inside the tub.

Never tried but since we have to remove those nutserts to install the backing plate, I'll go with yes.
