Best Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms

There is a certain aspect of conspicuous consumption involved in a few things...Like Jewelry, Clothing, Watches, and other luxury Items. I believe that can extend to Automotive parts to a certain extent (Factor 55 comes to mind), where people brag about the brand and not really how well it works (bumper jewlery).

I also think that suspension components don't really fall into that category...No one is going to build a mall crawler and say, "look at my control arms," (unless they are that silly gold color from that Marketing company that pretends to make good stuff). If they don't work, the guys that KNOW will very quickly call them out.

That may be true here but the long arm kits and ramp queens may suggest that isn't true outside of this group. People 100% do build mall crawlers and will tell they have a long arm kit by [insert company name here].

The good news is we shouldn't be. The better news is my litmus test for which groups to leave is getting a severe work-out. It is a very simple test. In any gear discussion that comes up, the second fuckwit that says 3:73's with 35's and the 42RLE is perfectly fine in the same post is enough that I just slowly back away, click delete, and find better things to do with my time than argue with idiots.

Agreed. It's pretty bad on the Facebook groups at times. The you see bad information regurgitated in the comments. I almost commented yesterday about some kid asking for cad files for savvy uam because 800 was too expensive. I started to comment but then just moved on with my life.

Local groups at big events, in person, can be just as bad at times. Case in point, my NIB currie front track bar came from someone using a teraflex instead because someone local told them it was better. I'll take that for $180, thank you, good luck and good day.

Yeah, I forgot about the hell that is Facebook. I’ve left most of the Jeep discussion groups because it’s just the same regurgitated BS over and over. If someone comes in that has a different viewpoint…the discussion takes an ugly turn.

Even in my 4x4 club, my views on suspension and “how to do things” is not always popular. I’m contrary to a couple shops in the area and the manager’s are in my club too… so there are sometimes some good discussions to be had. I tried really hard to talk someone out of an 8.8 swap…but he wasn’t haven’t any of it. The shop said this and the shop said that. Well…I won’t be going to that shop.

The Johnny Joints are a strong yes. And the more double adjustable arms there are, the better job you will do with the setup and fine tuning.

I think the core 4x4 crawl series control arms are the cheapest double adjustable arms that you can find with Johnny joints.

The 6061 control arms with JJ's don't exist anymore as of this week. They now have 7075 arms with one JJ and one Rock Krawler joint for $2000.

No. The Core 4x4 stuff is quality.

edit: The best available IMO right now is the Savvy with all 8 arms double adjustable. I know nothing about RK but they have a great reputation around here.


There’s no competition to double adjustable.

That said i just installed the set of RJ arms you posted and all went great.
