What did you do to your TJ today?

Got ORV stickers today and took it off to some seasonal roads to drive around in some dirt and sand
Andddddd got a flat and was stranded for a good two hours because the wheel was frozen on

Been there.., had a tire go flat and a second tire hissing on the other side. Only one spare…However in my case I did that fasted change over ever and booked it at serious speed to get back to civilization…. It was close….

My serious recommendation for personal experience is get a better tire than the Passenger “P” rated tire or you might be having more of these tire adventures than you want.

That's what happens when you get generic 'ORV stickers'... Garbage product(s). You need to go with OEM-quality 'Trail Rated' badges to operate safety & undamaged off-pavement.

Luckily - they are still available OEM:

Trail Rated Badge

New tires are definitely in the cards for me very soon
These are the ones that were on it when I got it, and I have no idea how long they sat without moving or how many miles they've got. That one had rotted and gone flat, and I hadn't taken it off yet and broken it free like the front two.
Fortunately the spare held up just fine to get me home!

Last week I installed new raybestos disc brakes and new brembo brake pads, as well as hood grille and stickers.
also, I changed injectors with OEM ones and solved my misfire issue.

coming next: Heavy duty tie rods!

Bonus points for the stylish brick garage floor! 😀

Continuing the "resurrection" of Liz's '99 TJ, this weekend, I was able to pay attention to some much-needed detailing...

After successfully testing the Sonax wheel cleaner (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UT3S6Q?tag=wranglerorg-20) on one of the stock “Canyon” wheels, I continued with the other three. They turned out pretty darned good, or at least I think so! Hopefully, a good coat of wax (or three) will help keep them looking good...

I also did a deep clean under the hood with some foaming WD-40 Specialist Machine & Engine degreaser (https://a.co/d/isMsYS), and it looks much better! It needs more work, but you gotta start somewhere, right?!? The underside of the hood is really being stubborn...

Then, it was time to attack the paint. 😣 Man, this thing needed some TLC, despite being garage-kept for most of its life. A thorough wash, heavy scrub, clay bar decontamination, a once-over with Lukat Fix It Color and Gloss Restorer (https://bit.ly/44oy4O0), and finally, a smooth coat of Liquid Glass Ultimate Auto Polish (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099GGRR47?tag=wranglerorg-20) gave it a clear, hard, mirror-like finish (almost!). It's not perfect, and she has some battle scars, but it's 110% better than it was.

And, I thought I was gonna have time to wash the Merc, too! We all know THAT didn't happen... 🤪 There's always next weekend!
