Put in dual ports and extra switches for future add ons

I got the idea from a u tube video on how to do it and ended up cutting out where the ash tray was and ordering a the three switch off eBay out of another jeep and putting where the ash tray was but there’s a video on u tube that walks you thru it.

keep in mind all the Bellhousing bolts are in still,Trans is supported at essentially stock height with a jack stand....
I'm either strong asf or this 42rle was destined to shit the bed

Very cool! My faceplate also came with a flat plate for the ashtray hole. Guess I should get busy.
 
Got some new shoes tried on today in preparation for phase 2 build (jk axle swap and probably another inch of lift) so I can set bumpstops and I’m guessing a slight amount of trimming in the rear. I like having my own tire machine but damn those are heavy! My Flux rockers and corners are in too, maybe I’ll have time Sunday to get those on.

Got a good chunk of my parts from Novak,Ebay,Rock auto,Essentially everything except the Trans.....fedex decided to hold back the trans🙃

BUT NOW...The fun part(I like wiring i don't mean it sarcastically) is the wiring
Good thing is that you DONT need a wiring harness from a manual if you have an auto,You just gotta take off the wiring that's meant for the 4th plug! That being the stuff for the automatic trans.
When I redid the loom on this jeeps wiring harness I learned that!

Had a rough day yesterday. Picked up my TJ that I can't park where I live (HOA rules about having 3 cars). Checked the oil and found this mouse nest. Everything is working so far. I need to drive it more to make sure they didn't chew through the wiring anywhere. Went home and cooked some food on the gas stove. My wife came home 4 hours later, opened the front door and started yelling, "THE GAS IS ON!" She got a headache within 2 minutes and immediately left. Stove was on high with no flame on. I had headaches, sore throat and a little dizziness. About like I feel every day. :unsure: She wanted to take me to the emergency room, but I pointed out that the damage was done. Nothing they can do. One of the drawbacks of being born with ZERO sense of smell (Congenital Anosmia) I guess. I ordered a natural gas detector this morning so I don't blow up my neighbors. I thought the carbon monoxide detector was for that. :unsure: Still feel like crap.

Something ironic about the HOA bitching about 3 cars but no protections regarding a gas leak enforcement...
