The protesters are there for the money or the ideology. The numbers are probably 75-25 for the money.
The "WIN" is some form of Collectivism, no moral overlay to government (I'm not far from that with my anarchist bend either) and most importantly it's "money".... like just about everything is. They believe that they can be better off with someone else's money and they believe they can install a government that will protect them. That's not how installing an all powerful government works but they believe their plight is hopeless without it. That last part is how the Leftists play it... it's smart on their part to do so. Most on the "Right" claim they would die on the hill to protect Christianity but my guess is less than 70% really would when the fight actually starts. Jesus himself found that out with Judas and the subsequent betrayals.
This is the next step down a road that inevitably ends with an internal war of some sort. Either a soft coup or a hard one. The two sides are not going to end this with an "agreement" when both want the other one gone. Trump as stopped the progression but hasn't undone anything yet in a structural sense.
