Rock Sliders / Rocker Guards Guide

And that’s why I’m going with what Blaine suggested.

Me and precision are opposite but his method will give me the best chance at fixing this.

My first thought was to fill the holes with spot welds, but my worry is if the weld isn’t flat on the back side the nutsert won’t sit flush.
Unless you can get a copper backer behind to control the burn through, you're just asking for trouble. If you could get the copper weld backer in, you wouldn't need a nutsert.

What size and other details a person that is not a nutsert expect might need to know?
Where are they being used. What are they being used for? Are you mounting your flares back in place? Are you repairing the ones or adding the ones at the back of the center console? Are you replacing the ones that hold on the belly skid 97-02 or 03-06? Are you fixing the ones that hold on the trans skid for the 03-06? Or something else perhaps?

For mounting rock sliders onto the tub at the places you can't reach from behind

Currie used 1/4-20, Genright, Savvy, et al use 5/16-18, Flux Offroad uses 8mm, Poison Spyder used 3/8-16. Shouldn't we try and find out what fasteners he plans on using to make sure at least the countersink angle is correct?

The sliders I have are not countersunk, I wasn't planning on countersinking them (though I can if it is better that way?)

I also don't know that, but I figured if I knew what nutsert size people were using I'd also know an appropriate bolt size!
If you continue to be this vague and silly, I'm going to let you do it without my help. What are you trying to do? Be fucking specific. Are you just going to use panheads or hex head bolts or do you have some fucking countersunk holes to deal with?

Yes, good plan. What do you think is best overall? Or is each a specific application that requires something different. I tried to keep mine consistent on my rig with 5/16-18 large flange. Genright corners, Savvy MUA, Genright mini boat sides. Savvy beauty panel. Custom valance. Custom half door armor. The only area that differs is those 8mm on the front Fluxor bumper. I love the metric torx option though.
