I knew a guy back years ago, a full blown dufus, told this story on himself and thought nothing of it.
His little Japanese four-banger blew up on the highway. He called his brother who towed him home and commenced to examine the engine. First thing, naturally, the brother pulled the oil plug and about 10 or 12 quarts of oil drooled out f that little four-cylinder engine. The brother asked this dufus why there was so much oil in the engine. Dufus said, "Every time I checked that stick, the oil was way down at the bottom, so I just added some more."
