What did you do to your TJ today?

Got gas for $3.43 a gallon and was semi-happy. Everywhere else in town went up to $3.99 yesterday.

Add $2 to that in Ca. Cheapest place by me is Circle K at $5.29. Every place else in town is pushing $6.

Replaced all the control arms on my '06 TJ....

I still have the originals with 147,500 miles on them. Bushings don't look dry rotted, but I'm sure they're still bad.

You can feel how squishy the old bushings are, and how firm the new ones are, by placing a rod or big screwdriver through the bushing and twisting it every which way. My old ones (100K miles) were still intact, but much softer than the new ones.

Since you already have practice and I'm in Va too, can I drop mine off at your house so you can see if you perfected your technique.

Can you wait until August? It will be more fun when it's 95 degrees outside and 99% humidity . And you'll have to tip extra if you actually want them torqued to spec.

Replaced all the control arms on my '06 TJ....stock for stock. First time doing this. The tips I got from this forum and videos helped a ton. My 70 year old body is paying the price for being on my back for several days (I'm slow) and sliding in and out to fetch tools. I can definitely feel and hear the difference in the ride.

Same with mine. I bought new arms last year with the expectation I would install them over the winter. That didn't happen, so now I get to wait until next winter. When I'm a year older and crawling on the concrete will hurt more.

California is so fucked. Its an energy island since everyone elses gas isn't good enough for us. Regulations drive refineries out of business,the additive packages are expensive and a lot of it is refined overseas since doing business here is insane.

On the bright side, we may have a republican governor again?

I don't usually like to talk politics,but i will say that california is enormous and has such a large population that there are probably more people here that voted for trump than live in your entire state....

When you get into ranching and farming country here, people are a lot like everyone else in rural america

I got a new set of tires for the old girl. I came out of work and found a flat tire due to old valve stems so I went ahead and got a new set of 31x10.50s to replace the old 32s. Then I went and picked up a new ride lol now I can give the TJ the love it deserves now that it’s not my daily driver.

Not denying that at all, just saying there is no real difference between the Dems and the Repubs once they get to Washington.

I don't really think there are over 5 Republicans in DC worth their salt.

Unfortunately the people in SD, LA, SF and Sacramento out number the rest of the state and the Public Employee Unions combine control the state $137B for a not so high speed train to nowhere. Hey but they’re good union jobs.

Been about a year since I've been around this forum. In the meantime I've been building out my diesel Gladiator and wheeling across the country.
But this week I pulled the TJ back into the garage and messed with the tune a bit and after about 8 years of tinkering with this supercharger install I think it's finally where I'm happy with it. So I intend to daily drive the TJ all summer.

Picked this Lange Hoist-A-Top (or JK or JL)w/ dual line hoist from Marketplace yesterday for $40. It'll fit TJ, might have to drill a detent hole and/or shorten a tube. It'll replace my Harbor Freight single line hoist and 2x4 top contraption.
