Moving sucks…spent two weeks looking for my rain gear cover and spidershade with no luck. Had finally given up and assumed it got trashed accidentally in the final purge.
Welp the day after my new shade arrived I found the bin with my shade and rain gear cover.

Broke in my new service cart I got during the $90 sale (worth every penny), as well as my new cheapo shop light (definitely worth the $13) cleaning up the interior for the first time in 2 years. Doors-off driving sure does lead to a nasty interior.
It needs more than I gave it, but that'll have to wait for another day when I feel like pulling the seats & console and really throwing some elbow grease into it.

I'm not getting it. Is that its final configuration? Are there any bows to spread it out so you can get under it?

Put the rear harness back in the Heap Jeep, steering column back in, pressure washed inside and out, scrubbed and pressure washed the seats. Yeah, it was that gross!
I also pressure washed under the hood of our nice Jeep and while I was on my lunch, I washed it too.

That color suckered me in 99. I saw a purple Dakota sitting on the lot and I bought it. I had so many problems with it that I haven't owned anything Mopar since. That wouldn't be all that significant but I've owned 300+ vehicles.
The problem with black is that it is soooo sexy for the first 5 minutes after washing. I feel your pain though, the heap (our hard top donor) is black and I'm going to do a bit of quick body work, some questionable paint and send it down the road.

No, there a lot of work to do. I need to build a frame to support the awning and attach the awning to a car cover so it will block out the windows in the front and sides. …but once I do that I’ll have a 5 x 5 room that can be closed with a bug screen or with the ripstop cloth door.
My bed extension that gives me almost a full size bed extends out the back 3’ so I needed a solution to provide a bit of privacy/security.
I already have a free standing tent for when friends and family come camping but wanted to also have a solution if it’s just me and my dog.
Had to tow it home the other day. Died right after I pulled into the grocery store parking lot. Its got codes for injector open circuit on all 4 injectors. Theres no ground or continuity to the ASD relay with no power to the injector fuse and if I understand what Im reading online correctly that narrows it down to a bad wire somewhere or bad PCM. Will check the wiring next week and go from there.

Finally got around to starting the green-ish to gloss black half door color change project.
Start:
after 320 grit DA sanding:
1st coat of SprayMax 2k Epoxy Primer
I'll apply another primer coat, hopefully not two more, and then wait for favorable weather to apply the top coat.

The way to go in lieu of a professional spray setup (or even for smaller jobs).
I've had too many black vehicles.. Unfortunately, that seems to be the color that I get the best deal on whichever vehicle I'm buying at the time. I think it looks great when clean, but I HATE detailing a black vehicle and I'm too OCD to just let things slide. When I had my Z28, I spent as much time working the paint as I did driving it

Red is the other color I never want. Guess what color my 3/4 ton silverado is?
. It's my second red Silverado I've had over the years. It's Red Hot, which is the better looking shade of red from GM, but I'd have rather had another gray or blue or anything else (except black). I like burgundy, but red just isn't my favorite. I think because I see so many red vehicles all the time.Similar threads
