You can get dissimilar metal corrosion using stainless as well. Better to just get grade 5 or whatever came stock

The sole time I got ducked was in the middle of nowhere at a remote dive bar. They put it on my hood, at the time I had no knowledge of the practice but it had a little slip of paper explaining I'd been ducked. I put it on a customer's jeep hood the next day. I'm sticking with the turtle.
On topic: dropped off the rubi at my preferred shop this evening, to have them diagnose the p0157/8 codes. I already swapped the sensor out to no avail, and better things to do than go further down that rabbit hole.
Got the emu springs and new shocks on the rear last weekend, and if I have it back I will be doing the front. Interesting thing: I got the heavier duty emu rears because heavy AF bumper, hard top and occasional ATV trailer tow. The old springs were like an inch taller than the new, but when installed the rear end was higher. Guessing the old springs were just really weak, but not quite "sagged".

Finally got around to stripping this 60 for the truss. A portaband makes pretty quick work of most the brackets.

I would use one can with UV dye and look for leaks with a UV flashlight. If it’s an o-ring on a line fitting, easy fix.

Looks good. Id weld some kind of rib down the backside of the drop plate though unless the backside of the tire is resting on the carrier.

That drop plate is 1/4” thick… I don’t think it will flex much, but good idea.

I snapped a diff cover bolt on one of my 12 bolt rearends. I had used bolts from another application and one was a tad too long and bottomed out, then snapped as I tried to tighten it. The broken piece was jammed in so tight that it’s still there 40 years later.

Tire has to weigh at least 50-60lbs, i assure you itll flex especially with the weight being cantilevered. I have a tendency to overbuild things though, so it could just be me.

Yep. The stainless is the cathode, mild is the anode.

The whole Canadians not visiting the U.S thing is hugely blown up by the media, doing everything they can to drive a divide between our 2 countries.
Our PM is smart, and not for the right reasons. Our previous one was a complete dope, but this guy has now gone wayyyy off, we're now paying 59 billion in debt interest alone. He's a smooth talking sleazeball.
I absolutely love the U.S and would move in a heartbeat if I could. Canada used to be a great country, but we've fallen far. Now they're trying to turn us against our greatest ally, and it's pure stupidity and pain. The media is the core issue here.
I really would like to visit NZ. I've got a good few buddies from there, just was hanging out with one from Gisborne. You guys have some sick offroad rigs down there.
On another note, the threaded tube adapter on my right control arm stripped out and the JJ was wallowing around in it, so I cut it out and re-welded a new one it. I'll get another arm at some point, but this isn't my daily anymore so it'll do for now
