I really like Fords, but the Fox body has always been hideous.

I have always liked the hood scoop on my 1966 Ford GT350 and think it would look great my TJ.

My old fox body opened a lot of eyes with it's 500 h.p. sleeper motor. 5 spd. with 456 gears, 8 point cage and full frame under it. Talking about cooling down....in the front on bumper where fog lamps were, I added drier vent hoses to cool front brakes in order to stop when getting wild.

Ok so low hanging fruit and my hood gets hotter than hell I was buying the Genright but as I moved it to my cart and went to pay shipping was nearly 50 bucks. That's an additional 25 percent. I don't mind a little bit they can KOMA (Kiss Old Max's Ass) at 25 percent.

That one's even powder coated. Whether or not it a decent job of powder coating is open for conjecture. I'd rather have one that had been anodized - of course you have the same potential quality problems there too.

Mine definitely is on the worse side. Now that I think about it, I'm guessing that might be so because my LJ still has the original underhood insulation. There's a Golen 4.6 Stroker sitting in a crate in the garage waiting to be installed, so I'll likely add hood vents when install time comes.

I did consider a V8 swap, but have grown fond of the Rubicrawler. It also helped that I picked up the Stroker from a buddy for one heck of deal.

Digging through this old thread. What ever happened with the stroker?

Still sitting in a crate in the garage. @SkylinesSuck pokes at me every now and then to install it. The hurdle I can't seem to overcome is that while I wouldn't mind more power, I don't need it and can't bring myself to pull a good running 4.0l.

Also, there's a sad story behind this engine. One that is difficult for me to think about. If I do ever install it, I'll tell the story then!

What he said. Don't let that new motor seize up just sitting there. After lots of down time this winter, I've daily driving mine. I forgot just how nice that power is around town.
