Swap cruise control from a 99 to an 06?

Is there documentation somewhere on how to add cruise to an 05-06 which isn't pre-wired for cruise? my 05 was rental fleet spec so didn't come with the pre-wiring. all of the how-to's i've found just talk about adding the servo and steering wheel controls on jeeps that are already wired.

Try this thread for all the necessary information. As it mentions, the wiring is usually included in the dash harness through the column, but the wiring in the engine harness usually not if it didn't come with CC.

No doubt. My dad has a C5 Corvette and wants me to disable the manual shift lockout that prevents 1-2 shifts in certain situations. It has always annoyed him and I'm sure it can be disabled via software. It'll be fun to look at how much more there is to be done on that GM/LS tuning platform.

The C5 is easy. You can buy a harness which is nothing more than a pair of plugs with a resistor inline. Plug that into the CAGS on the transmission and it never makes the forced 1-4 again. I’ve had several C5s and have always just made my own using a resistor. No PCM modifications needed.

IDK about the ‘99 servo, but the ‘06LJ will need a four wire add on to the PCM, a dash harness with the correct steering column wires, and the CC buttons for the late steering wheel (which appear to be able to swap over).

I’ll read a few of the links provided by others. But I’m guessing that if something has to plug into the PCM I’ll need, at minimum, reflashing.

IIRC, you don't have to reflash. I'm about 99.99% sure. Lots of people have added CC and there's no way all those people re-flashed.

Well the good news is that I’m NOT buying the ‘06. I’m hoping to be picking up an ‘04 tomorrow that already has factory CC on it. So I thank you for the good information and hopefully someone else will benefit from it.
