What did you do to your TJ today?

It's not what I did, but someone else.

I've been Eagled ..... someone put him on my mirror while I was at work. The bad thing is I didn't notice it till I was almost home.

I will probably leave it there till after the 4th of July, one it's not a duck and 2 it's patriotic.

I'm not trying to rub salt in your wound, because I've been there and done that on other vehicles.
This is exactly why I prefer manuals.
Autos are just like cats- they work when they feel like it.

And that's the other problem. I traded my sports car for this and wife said "No Manuals, because I can't drive in case of emergency." Besides, WHO's the asshat "engineer" that had a visit from the Good Idea Fairy (military will get the reference) and moved the cooler lines from the pass side of older Jeeps, just to run them alongside the exhaust pipe and catalytic converters?! I'd love to wrap one of those lines around their neck, preferably while still hot. :devilish:

You sure don't want it in the Florida sun - which is why I run a winch cover. That plug is to help keep it dry more than anything.

I have spools of the 3/8" diameter line at my shop, because it's what I run on my drill rigs the past few years. Their winches are used constantly, all day, and I replace the line about every two years. It has never broken on them; I just replace it as a safety precaution.

Exactly. I don't want to have to replace it every 2 years, so I keep it out of the sun. Its BRUTAL here. Its cheap and easy to do so.

I know a state that gets more sunny days and higher UV exposure ..... :) And we won't even talk about the Gila Monster state .

Its pretty horrid for a California boy. I'm used to the cool fog. We always laughed at the clueless tourists who spent thousands on their "Sunny California Vacation". Shorts, tank tops, rented convertible (with top down); and it would be 58 degrees with a 20 knot crosswind! "Smurfs on vacation!"

My wife and I have a thing with our families that has us moving back and forth from California (her state) and Utah (my state) every few years. The very first time I moved to California it was to Arcata in Humboldt County. about 40 miles south of Oregon.

I'm used to some pretty extreme weather in the Uinta Mountains.

What I was not prepared for was the opposite. 68 degrees and flat silver fog. all day. every day. no sun. for TWO MONTHS.

The next time we lived in California it was Riverside. That place is a shithole. but I like that shithole. They drink like they live in Boston, but instead of domestic beer, the drinks have fruity little umbrellas.

There is definitely no downside to 12 shots of tequila tasting like a slurpee.

And it definitely doesn't CRTL-ALT-DEL your brain.

Wire wheeled and degreased the LJ's frame, axle housings, and control arms in preparation for paint.

When removing Utah sand from the top of the raised gas tank, I found a fitting cracked and then found an even bigger crack on a fitting of my spare tank. I ended up using a soldering iron to fuse the cracks on both tanks and wiped them both down with 303 Aerospace protectant in case it helps.

Since my 05 tank has a bad fuel discriminator valve, but no cracks or leaks, does it have value to give away to someone for free. Or am I good to yeet it in the dumpster?

I hate the idea of throwing it away, but it’s likely trash unless you can install a working discriminator valve (might be more effort than it’s worth).

Same. I'd happily give it away to someone who can just bypass evap all together and use it in a buggy, but I do not feel like waiting 5 years for someone to need it for that purpose.

In other news. The Genright tank is amazing. it is mind blowing how much smoother my jeep runs now.

You be careful, Mac!

Imagine the look on the drivers' face!

The 2nd seat and slider brackets arrived, so I dropped them off at the upholstery shop to have the heater elements put in.
He said they'd be ready maybe Saturday, but definitely by Monday.

The roll bar cover arrived today too, but not enough time to even get started on that... maybe tomorrow.

What the hell is "yeet"?

Antonym of yank.

To throw carelessly.

A phrase that became popular near the beginning of Gen-Z contributing culturally.

I’m not against adopting a new slang word if it’s fun and intuitive.

Like saying:

“man. All the Stellantis engine options are mid or worse”

Mid works. Lets keep it.

Let us NOT keep the following:

“Just like, all this Dirtmaxxing is totally Jeepcore, no cap bro!”
