Replaced the instrument cluster gauge lights with green LEDS I scored on Prime day. Relatively easy, but I had to do a lot of bulb turning and swapping to get them all to light up.

Can somebody recommend the best rental ball joint kit? I'm not too stoked to buy almost $400 in tools just to do this job, and likely not use them again.
Just do a tool rental from one of the parts stores.

I used an Amazon Jeep kit with a nice very master ball joint press kit that Oreillys rents. You just need enough room on a card to borrow it for a bit.
You can use that Amazon kit with anything. Might want to check with the idiot at AutoZone and see if it has angled cups... although in my experience the folks at AutoZone know more about their former job of delivering pizzas than auto parts.

I was in DC visiting my daughter and the AX15 finally failed at 353k miles. I burned up quite a bit of the clutch getting home with only 4th gear. I bought a factory-new unit from Dave's offroad back in Feb of '21 for less than $1100 delivered-no core required. It's been patiently waiting in the garage all this time. I added a new HD Luk clutch to the replacement. Overall, the replacement went well but after I had it all back together the clutch wouldn't engage. I pulled it back off and checked that everything had been installed correctly-it was. Turns out the original plastic clutch master/slave just couldn't hang with the new HD clutch. I replaced it with a pre-bled unit from CM. The master and slave cylinders are both metal. She's back on the road now. Thanks to Mac and all the others who talked me off the ledge when the thing wouldn't engage. According to the factory tag, 40th unit built in Jan of 2018.

My buddy is buying a truck and told a young salesman he’s not doing a trade-in because I’m getting his old truck. He mentioned that I have a couple of Jeeps that I use to climb rocks out west.
The kid said “you look like a rock climber…” My friend said he ignored him, but the other salesman shook his head in disappointment.
He’d fit right in at Autozone if his sales career doesn’t pan out.
