No, Jaffa Cakes are not biscuits. The clue is in the name.

In the UK food is generally not taxed in stores. An exception is biscuits which are considered a luxury item, which I think goes back to a time when us poor folk couldn't afford them.

Anyhow, UK Customs and Excise took the largest manufacturer of Jaffa cakes (McVities) to court to try and get VAT added to the price. The court action failed after McVities made a large Jaffa Cake which was presented at court to prove it was in fact a sponge cake. I think it was also pointed out that when biscuits go stale they soften, and cakes dry out.

I had the smoke tester out look for exhaust leaks on the 88 Grand Wagoneer so i tested the LJ evap system to find the reason for my small evap leak code.

This was the GM fuel filler hose with the little flapper that I installed in 2021 in an effort to fix the fuel burping issue. It didn't work so when I pulled the tank in 2024 to do the real fix, I gave it a whack with a hammer to break the flapper out and put the empty hose back in. It waited until cold weather to hit me with the first check engine light and it's been present more and more consistently ever since. I had assumed I had a stiff o-ring in one of the other connections; this was about the best case scenario.
