Another Money Pit

Was on a cruise home from the lake after some fishing and found a killer deal on a 2005 4.0 X model TJ. Had no intentions of buying the jeep until I took a deeper look. Jeep was originally from the states, definitely out of the rust belt because it is about 95% rust free. Was an estate sale, 90k miles, 6 speed. Completely untouched $2500. Showed up with the cash about 30 seconds before someone else showed up with money! Can't believe how well this jeep drives. Has been a long time since my current build has been stock. Had a heck of a lot more miles than this jeep when I purchased and 400k km on it now. Not sure if I am going to sell or do a small build on 31's. My red jeep is fully torn apart. Was going to make it nice by fixing the rust, but the cancer is bad and a comp cut and tj6 seems more up its alley at this point.

Been almost 2 years since being behind the wheel of mine. Feels good to be in one for now. I am thinking body lift, 31's. I have some savvy corners, and sun performance sliders that I may slap on it if I end up holding onto it. My other jeep is being parked for a while due to travelling for work. Want a cheap town runner that I can pull off into a trail with the bare essentials. However, I have nowhere to store the ford but I could squeeze the jeep next to my other one. Keep it out of the salt this winter and slap it on the road next spring. Decisions!

haha! Looks like my other jeep how it got DD for years. Too many good memories! I will have to get down to TN for some wheeling when I finish mine up. Also that sucks to clean big time!

Know of anyone in Michigan down by Detroit that may need a hardtop? I will probably get rid of this one cheap, I have others. Anyone willing to travel and meet I can meet up in the states. This one is not perfect, but can get pictures for anyone interested.

I disagree, it's just many people buy one to use a couple of times a year. I bought mine new in 1998 and paid $33k for it. It got used 3-4 times a week for 11 months a year for over 10 years. I feel like I got my moneys worth out of her. Problem is most people buy one and use it a few times a year and every time they get ready to take it out something is broken from sitting unused.

You certainly have a point there - but there's ALWAYS something broken on a boat, and its ALWAYS expensive. I've been around enough of them to know.

You've never heard of a 12' aluminum and small 2 stroke outboard! My 1972 sears 3.5hp fires up no matter what, lol!
