Unfortunately, Ronnie caused a lot of the problems we're dealing with now. Invited the Bible Thumpers into the GOP. Set the precedent of amnesty for illegals. He was a good president, but not perfect by any means. Didn't get rid of selective service registration like he said he would. Not taking a position on that either way - only that he said he would and he didn't. On the other hand, he gave us back our pride, something Trump has utterly failed to do despite promises to the contrary.

Do you guys really think that stricter gun laws are going to stop criminals (for example, people who break the law) from getting a gun?

My dad had one hot patch in his tool collection I remember when I was probably ten years old. All these years I didn’t know what it was! Now I know. Wow

When I was 8 or 9 I worked at the local Phillips 66 station for a few weeks. (You could do this in the fifties and early sixties, before the gummint got involved). My job was patching tubes and tires. I did a lot of them, using the hot patch. I roughed up the rubber around the puncture using some weird tool. Then I smeared some sort of liquid cement on the tire/tube and the back of the patch. After a minute or so, I stuck them together and lit them on fire. I blew the fire out after about 10 seconds and put the clamp on. Took the clamp off after about 30 mins and put the tire back together.
