I have 2004 TJ 2.4l manual shift and just changed oil and filter; sadly has been sitting for quite some time. No apparent leaks after change but is only showing at minimum line even after adding 5 Qts. I have checked cold and after driving around with same read. As far as I know, parts are original. Anyone else had this?

The 4.0 requires 6qts. Where did you get the info to put 5qts in? Never had the 4 cylinder so just throwing that question out there. One of the guys with a four banger will jump in here

According to the FSM, you should be overfilled with 5 qts.

Guy at Advanced told me 4.7L and Google search said both 4 and 5 so when 4 Qts didn’t show I went to 5 Quarts. I’ve done Google search both on my oil pan and stick using photos and they appear to be original. Sorry I’m not real mechanical but I have the Chilton manual and I am good at research

You can download the Jeep Factory Service Manual (FSM) under Resources on this forum. Much better than Chilton.

Owner's manual as well.

Do you see a P/N on it anyiwhere?
