Drove mine down to the annual Fathers Day drag racing with my daughter.
Out with the old, in with the new ( 75w-140 castrol transmax limited slip). In a rush, so lazy route for me this time
Where did you find them individually? Lost one when my brother tied a quick disconnect to it. I haven't found just one for sale.

Finished my head unit to amp wiring harness. Ordered the double din mounting kit from crutchfield and a bunch of speaker wire.
Drove way out past Fort Worth last night to pick up a pair of half steel doors (which I don't need) and a pair of uppers with the sliding glass (which I do need). I actually don't even care about the sliding glass, but I couldn't find anything even remotely local of the plastic zipper windows.
Anyhoo, it hasn't rained in a dog's age up here and you may recall from a few pages back where I put the soft top on mine. And by "put the soft top on" I actually mean I pulled the overhead part back up and mounted it into the window strip and door surrounds. The windows are still in the garage. That was Monday. It took all of 3 days for big weather to roll in and force me to put the windows on and install these new doors.
Canvas lowers I got for $40 from XJ (now TJ) Buddy. They fit great. Awesome.
Glass slider uppers I got last night which definitely are for a TJ....the posts don't line up with the holes in the canvas lowers. WTF??
Half steel doors I got last night: PO adjusted the upper hinge bracket so they don't seat properly and I can't latch them. F.
Full doors go back on. And then the frameless soft top which is an absolute buttwhipping to get the back window on fully. I hate it.
That was 2 hrs ago when the rain was imminent. So far, no rain. Because of course not.

Got the speaker amp mounted. Fits perfectly above the glove box.
I have discovered a thing and am choosing violence.
Bestop made uppers that worked with the OEM half doors. How nice of them. Then they decided, hey you know what would go really nice with the canvas upper doors? Canvas lower doors. And somebody was like "yeah, and we could make them interchangeable with the OEM steel doors so you could mix and match depending on your needs."
They killed that guy and proceeded to make a completely new set of uppers that were otherwise identical but had a completely different pattern for mounting to the canvas lowers, thereby preventing you from using the OEM uppers (or anything compatible with OEM uppers) with their new canvas lowers. That's right, they intentionally make 2 versions of the uppers. Now they could have just put the mounting holes on their canvas lowers in the same place as the OEM lowers, but they intentionally opted to tool up a 2nd manufacturing pattern. And then just for kicks they ALSO made a set of lowers that doesn't have any mount points to accept an upper. Because just not using an upper was not enough, they had to make sure you would never change your mind.
So they make 4 products that together cover all the use cases, but it could have been just 2 products and served the exact same set of purposes and required less chicanery on their part.
The only "logical" reason here is that this way they could potentially force you to buy all their products, but I would love to see the market research that told them this was the right play. Like who is buying a lower door with the understanding that you can literally never use an upper with it? Especially when it only costs 15% more to get both. And the fact that if you wanted to run both canvas and steel doors you would need to buy two different sets of essentially identical uppers? I mean, I guess it potentially generates an extra purchase, but you know you're pissing that customer off.
So after all that, I now have basically the inverse of everything I need. Half doors I don't want. Lowers that don't fit my uppers. Uppers that don't fit my lowers. And 3 hrs of driving to make all that happen.
And oh yeah, it didn't rain a drop.
Washed the Jeep yesterday to take it for my state inspection at 3pm (12 miles away). Half way there they were doing road work on the highway and traffic was backed up for 3 miles. I took a back road that was 3 miles of gravel. Everyone else knew the shortcut too. 
Made it there on time and my mechanic pointed out his sign with the new hourly rates.

Got a spare set of moab's I was considering getting a set of 265/75r16 RT tires for, but unsure if I should go to 4.10's instead of my 3.73's. 
Add to the list…picked up their metal insta trunk so I could lock up stuff when I was taking the jeep to the office. Then I got their rear seat, cause I wanted headrests for the kids.
Cool now I can take the kids to school and lockup my laptop…safety and security.
Nope - their rear seat and locking trunk are not compatible with each other, nor is it documented on any product or instruction page.

I do, but even if I took it out of the unopened box I would still lack the skill to make it happen.
