Temp and oil are slightly over

The gauges read that me temperature and oil pressure are slightly over normal. This started happening a few weeks ago. I’m assuming it’s ok for if I leave it like this. Anyone know what could cause this? Thanks in advance.

Far as I know that’s as normal as it gets

Push the trip reset button on your dash. Then turn the key. It will light up all your dash lights and flex all your gauges. See if those two act or look funny

There is nothing unusual or abnormal about the position of those gauge indicators.

My Temp is a bit below the 210 mark, probably like 200 if I had to guess.

I think his issue is they changed "a few weeks ago". I don't think its a problem as it looks normal but I have no idea why they would have changed...esp both of them.

Temp guage is normal.
Be aware that oil pressure guage fluctuates with engine rpms.

The real oil pressure varies in step with the engine rpms. But the oil pressure gauge was reprogrammed in newer TJs to only show a mid-scale indication so long as the real oil pressure is within acceptable limits. That was done because too many new Jeep owners had never seen a real oil pressure gauge and complained to dealers too much about varying oil pressure and wouldn't believe it when they were told the varying oil pressure was completely normal.

My XJ had a real-time gauge and I prefer that. I can see how people would freak with moving gauges if hey had never seen one before. We had all kinds come in to Chevy it was entertaining

Old-school rule-of-thumb is 10 psi per 1k of engine RPM. I have a 2000 as well, and I get about 20 psi hot idle, 50-55 psi driving. So the same as you. The factory manual specifies 13 psi minimum at hot idle, for what it's worth.

I'll say this about the dummy temp gauge. Slightly left of 210 means lower than 200. Slightly right of 210 means above 210. You can see this on the ODBII when you read the actual live temps.

I know this is old by now but I actually ended up overheating a few days later because of a bad radiator!

That's no good! My temp gauge regularly sits at that position on warm days. It's normal for the 4.0 to hover around 210-220 degrees, so slightly over the middle mark.
