rear main seal leak?

I can't speak on the ATP 205 since I've never owned it, but there's a crap ton of reviews here:

I usually read the negative ones first, then focus on the positive ones.

Still, I wouldn't waste my time with a resealer. Doing the valve cover gasket on these things is probably one of the easier projects you could take on. I mean it's really, really easy. I'd just replace the valve cover with a new one and do it the right way the first time.

Hi Chris, I am pretty impressed based on the reviews on amazon and summit racing's website. I think I will try the ATP first as I am really pressed for time lately plus I watched several vids on the job, may be a simple job for most but I know my comfort level and if the ATP does not work, will have my garage do it for me. most I will be out is 10 bucks.
appreciate the feedback and if it works will come back and repost.

well I am happy to say that the leak has stopped. now I am not sure if it was the fact that I tightened up some of the bolts on the valve cover or the ATP re-sealer or combo of both but put it in Sunday and had had one drop by monday morning and this morning no drops, after work checked again and no drops.
so far so good and since I was not able to get to the very rear bolt at the firewall, have a feeling it was more the ATP that is working but I am sure me snugging down the bolts I could get to also helped a bit.
if this does not work long term will report but I am sure its not the RMS leaking since the ATP stuff needs at least 5 hours to work on those leaks and i did not put near that much use on the jeep since sunday and my valve cover area was very wet at the back.

Very cool. I suspect it was the ATP stuff. That stuff really does work (I've used it before on rare occasions) as long as it's a small leak (not a big one).

I had to use something similar to stop a coolant leak in a very hard to access place. It was a tiny, tiny leak, but the radiator stop leak did the trick.

Of course the catch is that I didn't rely on it for that long. After a month when I was feeling up to the task, I took everything apart and put a new seal in and then flushed the entire cooling system.
