What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally finished with all the work.

5 new u-joints
new pipes,muffler,cat o2 sensors.
Front and rear tranny seals.
New clutch w/ flywheel
Rebuild shifter. (So much smoother)
Savvy transfer case cable .

Then i went for a drive. (I hate the smell of work. Burned all the grease off.

Let's here what you've done to your TJ today!

I'll start by saying I gave her the biggest, most thorough cleaning possible!

I removed the speedometer console and cleaned out the bus bar pins/QD's to fix a "no bus" CHECK ENGINE read out that appeared out of nowhere this morning. 2 hrs - did the trick!

Took the hard top off for the season. I'm going to make a hoist so I can store it in the garage. **don't mind the open access panel on the mc fenders. I'm going to paint the new louvered panels body color or black.

Allowed myself a cosmetic upgrade, snapped on these $20 grill inserts that I got off Amazon. Surprised how much I like them - wondering if they'll end up trapping water dirt and whatever else against the grill which already has plenty of chips/dings on it. I'm digging the look matched up with the black headlight bezels though (also super cheap off Amazon if you're looking to snag a simple set)

Replaced driver side interior handle and installed new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor.

I finished up the dash mods with a q-tip detail of the aftermarket radio. Also hooked up the headlight feed so the radio dimmer works now.

Also fixed the worse of the two front calipers with brake wear points on the knuckle.

No fixed pics though. Wanted to get out and drive it.

Soooo, drove it across KC (superslab) for some tasty burgers. Mmmmmm.......

Oh, also, along the thread topic, I found the middle top bow (above your head) was not on top of the top's frame. It was shifted over a bit and dropped down about an inch or inch and a quarter. Pushed it up and onto the top frame. Top is a little quieter now and the positive/negative air pressure effect on my ear drums on the highway is gone. Or was gone on the dinner run tonight. That makes me happy.

What is the point in the acess panels? It takes away from the TJ body lines, but I'm guessing they serve a purpose, just not sure what that is? So what purpose do they serve on your Jeep?

I have some equals to install in mine. Have you noticed any cooling loss in the engine after installing them?
