This compromise worked for me because I wanted a less tippie Jeep one that was easier to get in, and lose as little ground clearance as possible.

Not to nit pick. But a 2" change in tires is a 1" differential drop.

You might be right about that but the ground clearance thing is also impacted by tire pressure.

The visual difference is pretty drastic looking from the front. With the lift you could stand in front and see most of the suspension without even bending down. Now, it’s hidden for the most part.

I went the other way. The AEV HighLine comes with 6" flares which work great with an 8" rim and a 4.25" BS.

But running forestry trails I have decided skinny works better and changed to the factory 15x7 spokers with 5.5" BS. The AEV flares look like pantaloons.

Next set of tires will be skinnier yet as I aim for the pizza cutter look.
I wish BFG still made the 33x9.50R15s.

No, he switched to 31's on aftermarket wheels with 4" BS I believe.
