Becoming a Rough Country hater. Rough Country shocks on my Jeep (came with it) very stiff, hate them. Now I bought adjustable Control arms and the female side threads were rusty. Spent a 1/2 an hour oiling and threading back and forth to get them usable. Just saying, maybe my bad luck but think I`m going a different route next time

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

1) I guess what you're posting about are Rough Country adjustable control arms?

2) Were they brand new out of the box or maybe not so new but never installed, just sitting around somewhere damp for quite a while?

3) Was "somewhere damp" just leaning against the outside of the garage while "quite a while" was all winter?

4) Or were they used and came off your buddies TJ that was on it's way to the scrap yard due to major frame rust?

5) Why are the possible scenarios related to my questions just getting worse?

FWIW, questions 1 and 2 are the only decent questions. Questions 3, 4, and 5 are just me passing the time. Answers to any are welcome.

I don't like my shocks that came with the rough country kit either.

However I now understand they offer the kit without the shocks so you can choose something of your liking. I just have a hard time taking brand new shocks off and replace them with something else. But eventually I'll get tired of the ride and get the rancheros.

Brand new, arrived friday

If you aren't happy with it why are you running it? Send it back for something better or at least not rusty.

If there's one good thing about rough country it's their customer service.
Just 2 strikes now, I was able to use it, just took a little extra preparation of which for the price you pay shouldnt be happening
