Favorite Jeep Configuration?

Driving to work today on a foggy cool morning in San Diego (marine layer)... and was thinking how I may need to put the doors and windows back on.

I was sad.

I realized that my all time favorite way to drive my Jeep is with the doors off, soft top on, but windows removed.

I actually prefer that over the top down.

What are your favorite configurations?

Top down, but I still usually like doors on. It's fun to take them off every once in a while, but I like having the window for the arm rest.

Doors off with safari/bikini top here in TX. In milder climates, I preferred no top/doors and just a ball cap. With no hair, something to prevent sunburn is a must, and not having a hat helps make the TX heat a little more bearable.

Before I replaced a crusty, shrunken top I always ran top up/doors and windows out. I was afraid I might not be able to reinstall the top if I lowered it. Now the weather is perfect in central NC and I'm running with the top down and it's fantastic.

On the street I like top down with Spiderweb Shade & cloth ½ doors on, mostly for the arm rest. Off road same thing minus the cloth doors for extra visibility, it’s nice being able to hold onto the steering wheel with my right hand while being able to stick my head nearly under the jeep to see what’s what all without moving my ass out of the seat.

When the cold sets in & the top/full doors go back on I get grumpy, that’s just the worst possible configuration; I feel like a fucking rat in a trap & I always bang my elbow on the door which is a constant reminder that I'm a rat, in a trap

My favorite for warm weather is soft top on but sunroof section open. I have half doors so I like the uppers off and the tops windows out with my windbreaker's window closed. In the winter, soft top closed, windows on soft top on, uppers on and windbreaker window open. LOL

I typically run with the soft uppers and all windows removed. Then I tuck up the corners into the top and secure them to the sport bar with ball-bungees.
