Hi all,

Currently getting my diffs refreshed as I type this. Thought I'd do a quick intro.

Yep, we don't get snow, my TJ isn't rusty and was lucky enough to have a Dana 44 with the LSD and liveable 3.73 at the time. Manual, and is a daily driver as well as a hardtop I put on once...

It has the graphite flares like the Columbia Edition you had, same seats with the Jeep logo instead? I dunno...Maybe someone can elaborate?

I'm quite sure I'll have more to add as time goes on. This car means a lot to me in a lot of ways which I won't bore you all with.

It's helping me through personal challenges I'm undergoing and has been the most loyal friend I've had. It's a keeper and my 8 year old will have it when old enough (he's already shifting gears for me).

Cheers,
Raymund

Diffs are getting attention as I type this...Winch is waiting. Don't fret about the gap on the bar 😉
What All are having done in the diffs?

The rear has leaked all over the place, a click/thunk sound is there and the front is getting a locker. Refreshing all other bits as well.
Still unsure about the rear locker but the type of use I have doesn't make it necessary. Looked extensively at Harrop and ARB (Australia so easy enough to get either way) but that's another thread that's been overdone I guess

I love lockers!

Both good options, have a look at detroit auto lockers as an option too, I have them front and rear and love them.

Yeah it's much better on the road than expected imo, works flawlessly off road too. Feel free if you have any questions
Just the usual concerns re: corners, throttle in/out etc...I'm even considered a better Harrop LSD but for the $ it's a "meh" right now...

To be fair, you do need to drive a bit more carefully, especially in the rain. In manuals like ours, you just need to be careful not to dump the clutch much when doing a tight turn, and not floor it/use too much throttle whilst going through a tight turn (when i say tight, i mean 90 degree or less turn). Now that I've gotten use to mine though it's very easy and comfortable for me, mine's a daily driver also and I have 0 issues with it.

Also depends on what sort of off roading you'll be doing but if you're looking at lockers I probably wouldn't bother with an LSD.

I know...You're definitely on to the right track there as I'm the same with it. Factory LSD is well, factory.
Just found out I need a new carrier in the rear, I'm literally having to make up my mind now as to what locker to get by tomorrow morning. The carrier is $550 but I can get an ARB one for around $1,000 with the free on board air as well now...Aaarghh
