What are you hoping to gain from highlines?

For the install process, check out my build thread for some tips and tricks (latest posts from October has highline install).

Im looking to gain tire clearance for my 35s without going any higher with my 4” suspension lift and 1.25 body lift. Im Hoping to gain about 2”.

Longer shocks will only give you downtravel. As mentioned above you should move your upper shock mounts to actually use the new found travel.

I am using poison spyder highlines. The steel versions add 30lbs over stock. If you are still set on highlines I would suggest genright, dont forget the inner fender kit.

GenRight aluminum is the route I would go.

Of course that doesn't change the fact that as mentioned above, you won't gain much of anything from the highlines unless you do a lot of re-working of your current suspension.

If you wanted to get the most out of the highline kit you'd outboard the shocks, go with a longer travel shock, and make the necessary adjustments from there.

thanks !! what about the poison spyder brand ? are they as strong as the genright?

There's also the metalcloak overlines option, and you don't have to cut your hood. Have a set I haven't installed yet, but it looks to be well made.

What size tire is on there now? A useful thing to do is fully cycle the axle without springs. You will be able to see where the body currently gets in the way of the tires.

For some context, I can tell you that 33s, 4" spring and 1.25" body lift with about 1.5" bump stop will allow for roughly 6" of up before rubber lightly digs into the factory sheet metal during full flex full steering lock, both on top and the rear wall of the opening. I'm not going to 35s until I come to terms with how I want to deal with the fenders.

With 35s, Metalcloak only adds about an inch of body clearance. That rear wall still gets in the way before anything else at full flex full lock.
