Is there a good ground behind the glovebox?

Getting my CB installed and per @Jerry Bransford I am going to run the power lead right to the posts behind the fuse box under the hood. I have the wires run down the passenger side A pillar and behind the glovebox. Is there a good place to tie in the ground in that area? If not, where is the nearest location for the ground wire?

Many places there are a good ground. The frame of the dash has several spots to run a sheet metal screw into and there are several items mounted in the area that you can remove a screw and put a ring terminal on.

Behind the glovebox, above the fuesebox, theres two studs in the firewall. I didn't even remove the nuts, they are long enough for several ring terminals & another nut on there.

I have two items grounded to the glove box latch going into the dash frame with ring terminals. Haven’t had any issues with that so far.

It is easy to pull the speaker grill. That gives you lots of access if you are doing things with multiple grounds.

I just ran a self tapping screw (through a ring terminal) through the dash frame that you can see on the left side when you open the glovebox.

Probably not an issue; but to reduce possible noise, you should run all the way to the battery.

I should clarify; My CB ground is run to the battery, but I have a transmission temp gauge and heated seats grounded to the dash frame that I mentioned.

Ok - So let me rephrase my question and I think I only asked half of what I really needed to know.

I know that I should run the power directly to the battery to avoid any noise from other things pulling power. do I also need to run the ground to the batter for the same reason or is any ground going to be good and not have issues with noise? I am sure @Jerry Bransford or @mrblaine has the correct answer.

A solid tub or frame ground is fine too.
