Hopefully i can get some help on this! Since I purchased my Jeep the fuel gauge has always read empty. After doing some troubleshooting I figured it was just the floater attach to the fuel pump was stuck. I continued to drive the Jeep for about a month and I noticed one day after leaving work my check engine light came on with code P0455. When I got home I replaced my fuel pump with a new one and also noticed a large crack in the hose connecting to the evap canister. I replaced it and when I went to start my Jeep it would not turn over. It cranks but all it does is sputter and doesn’t turn over. I replaced the camshaft position sensor and that did not fix it. The Jeep is so close to starting but all it does is crank and sputter. I checked my fuses under the hood and they all checked out. I did not check the fuses behind the glove box. I replaced the coil pack as well and that did not fix it. I also Checked the crankshaft sensor and I’m getting 5 volts. Also my fuel rail has fuel in it but it’s not spraying out when I drain it but just leaks out a lot instead which tells me it’s not pressurized. Note I just replaced my stock headlights with leds two days before this fiasco started as well. I doubt that would do anything at all to cause this but wanted to give you guys as much info as I can. Any help to get this thing started would be greatly appreciated.

Worked before fuel pump change, didn’t after. I would start there. Toss old one back in and see if it works and that’ll show quick if the new pump is bad.

Either that or you forgot to plug something back in after changing the fuel pump.
Trust me, this is one of those situations where the answer is going to be the simplest explanation.
I should have added when the check engine light came on on my way home I cycled the key 3x to get the code and when I went to start it back up that’s when it would not start. It just cranks and sputters which prompted me to just replace the fuel pump because I thought it was toast.

PO taped up severed wire at the fuel pump. She is now running!!
