Finally got around to installing my xmas present from my wife. I told her was tired of making lunch on logs and rocks when on day trips on the trails. So she bought me the tailgate table. Install was easy and this thing is very cool.

I think that latch system might be an issue when packing the back of the jeep for a weekend. I know that for me my jeep is jam packed with camping gear and I just think the latch may get bent or broken. But I like the price

The Outback Trailgater is an awesome product - it's extremely high quality and works very well. It's the best on the market for sure.
As long as people are posting alternatives to the Trailgater I'll post mine...
I wanted something a little more functional, so I made one myself. The table is stainless, just like the Trailgater, and it has a slide-out cutting board/extension table like the Trailgater, but it also has a Molle panel. Some tailgate tables do have a Molle panel, but on most of those the panel is under the table when the table is open - I didn't think that was very useful so I made mine so the Molle panel swings down.
Another thing that the Trailgater could use is a Cutlery Keeper that mounts to the tailgate behind the table - there's empty space between the table and the tailgate when the table is stowed, so this space is where the Cutlery Keeper mounts; the cutlery stays in place when the table is closed so as soon as you open the table the cutlery is there for use. The cutlery panel is available from Overland Outfitters (https://www.overland-outfitters.com/store/p7/11"H_X_22"W_Cutlery_Keeper_JK.html#/) but so far they only offer versions for the JK and the JL. Might be the JK version could be adapted to the TJ version of the Trailgater though.

Also includes a bottle opener

Stuff like that is amazing. I may never figure out how the Trailgater holds all that wine and stuff when closed but it's definitely cool.
