Can I (and should I) use coil spring spacers?

I run them , they work the same as a stock insulator, which I'm pretty sure the 05-06 Rubicon's had in back, red in color .

An axle is sort of "rowing " as you go down a bumpy road , and I think the non metal to metal contact and extra cushion makes for a plusher , quieter ride . I like a TJ to sit a skosh high in the back .

If I ever see one slammed in the back , I'm going to club a baby seal or something . That butt dragging look is one of the dumbest trends yet.

If it ends up being too high you can cut them down easily.

@Hog cut his , I was impressed . We installed them, had a ball,and they worked excellent. I may go remove them just so we can do it again.

I think @Hog used a miter saw ..I'd go slow , might be grabby.

I'm trying to compensate for my tire carrier and gas tank. I've got my tank skid a few times as well.

Exact same here , I have a 33" spare on a beadlock , the carrier and the can ...I needed a boost . I really like what it did for mine ...I see no downside and love keeping the coil well isolated from the bucket .

I actually used a ban saw... held by a clamp.. then belt sanded them to give a nice smooth flat surface

It will, and the rears are far easier than the front to install due to the bump stop design . Work safe , post pics. You will he happy .

That makes sense , I remember you said saw and I must have assumed a miter saw ...sounded crazy but I didn't say anything . Thank you for posting that.

Just because you got some coil spring compressors out of it doesn’t mean we can do it again..
