"Pacing myself" build

I was just gonna say get that RV put back together and get over here!
Its together. No generator, yet, but I need some local trips in it to build some trust before I head out across country. Mechanically, it should be good. Our weather is starting to break, so soon, I should be getting it out and driving it some. She runs great though.

I seem to remember you were going to do a build thread on it. Did that ever happen? Would love to see some pics of the old beauty.

I have one on another site, but its a little out of date.

I haven't done much recently to her, been working on the generator. That was supposed to go back together last weekend, but one of my main bearings was incorrect (supplier sent the wrong one). So, I'm waiting for that.

I will get some better pictures. Haven't really had her out for modeling yet.

Thanks for the link. Yep, those generators can get expensive quick. Last year I had to shell out some coin to have the board replaced, and just recently, the circuit breaker gave out (while on my Rubicon trip no less), so out it came again for a new breaker and slip ring cleaning. She's purring now.

Just pulled the trigger. Hunter 4x4 offroad in Citrus Heights will be doing the job in April. I'll be flat towing the jeep to the shop and spend the night at a RV park nearby. No jeep fun until then, sadly. Going to be replacing virtually everything in that housing. New standard size gears, 4.56, Eaton TT, Revo Discovery series chromos. I like that it is a small, hometown boy shop, and jeep enthusiasts to boot. Hopefully, by then, this stupid zombie apocalypse scare BS will have calmed down some.

I hope that fixes the vibration for good. It better!

In the mean time, while I'm waiting for the rear end work to get done, I'm going to limit driving the jeep as long as I can, at least not above 50mph. Gonna order parts to fix the AC next. Just waiting on a response from Performance Radiator cause their website says the heater core is out of stock.

Is that the go to heater core? I’m considering adding one to my parts collection if the OEM goes.

If it comes to that is will be a bone stock TJR. I don't need the added room of an LJ, and an LJ just begs a 4" lift and 35's, lol!

I know that reality too well... hoping to find a good place locally for the regear since I definitely can’t do it right.

Is there someplace that the Northern California, Oregon and Wa
Y'all are making me jealous that its about a 24 hour drive to Northern CA. The wheeling looks great and it sounds like the stories are even better! Maybe once I get the RV "finished" the wife and I can take a trip to the Rubicon!
I think someone needs to put together a "Meet & Greet" for Northern California, Oregon and Washington and who ever else wants to join in from Nevada, Arizona and anywhere else. I thought it might happen about 2 or 3 years ago, but it fell by the way side. Meet up in one big camp....do a little wheeling. Thoughts?

I had a backpacking trip planned for Utah (the maze) in April - If that falls through I’ll be cruising Moab (as an alternate location ;))

That would be awesome I think Moab would be the spot for it.
