Waste of money. It's like having an iPad in your dash. In 3-4 years TOPS it will be obsolete and then you'll have to drop another $1000 for another one. Assuming of course the manufacturers even update them.

There are Chinese knock offs for about $350. I've almost bought one several times but I don't know anything about stereo installs or how to wire the rear speakers into it since the Chinese models don't directly support the 7 speaker system, particularly the two rear speakers.
You know how to wire that?
Okay, well for $350 I would do it, just not $1000 (which is absurd).
I don't know shit about wiring other than soldering and what not. I wish I knew because I have the 7 speaker system and would love one for $350!

350 is still over priced imo. Embeded windows CE is an evolutionary deadend, good luck finding updates and any decent apps for that environment.
for $150 you could get a top of the range single din stereo with blue tooth once you have blue tooth you can connect any modern ios or android based device to your stereo system. and still have money to spare for cameras, amp, subs speakers etc. if you really need all that other stuff just get a far more advance 7 inch android tablet and dash mount it and let blue tooth do the rest.

I thought it used Android. If I had any idea it used Windows CE I wouldn't have even bothered saying anything. You're right, Windows CE is HORRIBLE!

I'd rather not have to have another device to have to handle, especially with all the new hands free laws. Windows CE is old but that thing will play DVD's, has a touch screen, GPS (with compatibility with all the major mapping software), Bluetooth, and everything else you could need.

My Wrangler came with a factory 130S RES HU. I will soon be installing a 430 RBZ factory radio with touch screen. I had considered a factory navigation radio but I don't travel often enough to justify the extra $$$ for the higher end unit.
Chris- did you install an amp too? upgrade speakers? not l9oking to rock out but would like to hear quality sound when running top/door less. does the face detach from this unit? thanks

Roadnav.com is a good place to get one. The latest firmware update has pleased me 100%. The S160 is the coolest stereo I have ever seen and been lucky enough to own. Plug and play harness AND it looks like a factory deck, no DIN kits required. It's gorgeous.
