First time Rubicon owner looking for locker compressor help

Good morning! Below I attached a picture of my somewhat barn find! Found it in Iowa on a rock crawler forum! 2004 rubicon with only 28,xxx miles. Got it from the original owner too! Needs a little love but nothing I can’t handle! I’m new here so I don’t know if I’m posting in the right place but I’m looking for some parts! Things I need
• front locking differential compressor!
• rear locking differential compressor!

Too expensive ($300 ea.). Covert them to run off an ARB compressor or something. Do a search here and you find threads on it. Someone was just talking about it yesterday (search KIA).

Well what I’ve read is that I can’t convert them as easy as I’d like! I have some 2019 JL rubicon axles I’m gonna throw under it over the winter! Just need these compressor’s for a wheeling trip in October to Moab.

No, it's super easy.

I bought a few of these to experiment with, but haven't had time to test them out. If it's just a temporary thing, you could always try them and see how they work.

They don't cycle off and on like the factory pump, but could easily be put on a switch. FWIW, these put out a max pressure of 6.7 psi (350mm Hg) . The factory pumps are approximately 5 psi. At $3.50 each you could buy several to experiment with. At the output pressure here, they wouldn't damage the locker actuator.

This was my Barn find Rubicon, and why is that both front and rear lockers need compressors ? also what size tires are those ? they look a bit large for stock Dana 44's

My question too. Have they been tested properly to confirm if they're actually bad or if there's something else causing the problem?

As far as myself, I'm staying out of barns after that experience.

That's a build gone beserk...no reason for lockers to be disabled on a rock crawler. None. That's basically what makes a rock crawler crawl.

You are on the right forum ...I know you may think we are looking too critically, but we have seen a few.

I'd start with airing up a locker manually and see what happens.

That's a build gone beserk...no reason for lockers to be disabled on a rock crawler. None. That's basically what makes a rock crawler crawl.

Maybe someone swapped in Detroits? Pull a cover and see what’s in there.

X2 though be wary to limit that pressure to no more than 5 psi. Much more air pressure than that will pop the air bladder inside the locker actuator.

Have you asked the original owner about the locker issue ?

And if the issue is non functioning compressors, have you checked out the electric supply and control/switch circuits ?
