What did you do to your TJ today?

Well, it's been about a week since I finally got into my second Jeep. Since Saturday, I've done plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change, installed front speakers, installed a 7.5" LED trail light, relocated/re-wired existing fog lamps, mounted Hi-Jack to rear bumper, wired in a trailer harness, replaced shift knob, removed cruise control assembly, removed hood prop (broken anyways), removed plastic fender wells, picked up an adjustable hitch, new steering wheel cover, replaced all zipper pulls with 550 Cord pulls, replaced pull strap for tumble seat with 550 Cord... there might be more but I have forgotten.

...wow ...so what did you do after lunch then ? hehe

Went out for an Easter drive before the rain set in for the afternoon. ( Almost time for me to put the doors and window back on ) its still 21 degrees though (70F) but the cooler temps are a comin..

Haha, if I wasn't a stay-at-home dad of a one and two year old then there would've been a ton more accomplished But alas, time is not on my side anymore.

I would, but I'm planning to use the cable for a throttle control lever that mounts to my shifter. (Giving me a third foot)

Thanks @Kiwi TJ, I used some stuff called Purple Power Super Degreaser. It did most of the work, but I did have to scrub some of the heavier grime. I never expected it too look like that when I was finished. I about shat when I seen it after about an hours time.:aplastao:

Edit: I wanted to follow up with a picture of the product I used, just in case anyone wanted to try this stuff. Also, I sprayed all the plastic parts with the Meguiar's Tire foam, then wiped it all down.

Oven cleaner is so much cheaper and works so much better.

Thanks CRGR... 6 Inch flare over 31's...( 31x10.5 R15 to be exact lol) I bought the wheel backspaced to sit flush with the fender.

I just removed my hard top and put on my soft top for the very first time! A lot trickier than I expected, but I figured it out - however, as I was putting on one of the side windows I noticed that my zipper slide was missing - ARRRGH! After searching this forum I got an answer and I have ordered a new zipper thingy that was recommended for just such an emergency! Now, I hope it doesn't rain for a couple of days!

Removed the front seat to try and work out why it doesn't fully tumble when I pull the lever. All the cables seem intact ... long story short I failed misserably to figure out the issue and will stick to reaching under the seat to make it tumble.

Changed valve cover gasket and an oil change now maybe a nap.

I got my radiator and steering stabilizer installed yesterday. More info on the radiator install in my build thread.

I'm pretty sure at this point that a good tight front suspension doesn't even need the stabilizer. I didn't feel the one I took off, but I'm sure it didn't have any oil left in it based on how many times I've degreased it.

When I did my shocks it got rid of the occasional minor steering wheel shake i had. It only happened on certain road conditions at highway speed. I'm pretty sure it came from my shock bushings being worn out in the front.
