This is my custom built take on the Mopar Rock Crawler front bumper, which I call the "Skin Crawler".

This was made for about 20 bucks.
The hard part was finding a fab shop that could bend the radius with chromoly.
The idea is not to duplicate the infamous bumper but to pay tribute to it... The tubes are actually rolled forward a little bit and are a little more functional because they protect the driving lights... Their position was predicated by the KC light bar that runs over the winch.
It has 1.5 inch muffler clamps bolted through the bumper that will get black acorn nuts shortly
This design has been " liked" by none other than @Jerry Bransford.
I'm practically guaranteed a design patent with that.
I hope I accomplished a nod to the look without the impression that I tried and missed.

I would have welded a piece of angle across the end of the tube with the flat face forward to the inside of the bumper. Put a pair of holes in it that line up with the holes you drilled for the muffler clamp and use some carriage bolts to lock it down.
Other than that, it isn't terrible.
Cool! This part looks like the face of a Star Wars droid or something. 
Nil over stock.... I removed 6 5/8" on each end, the tube was light...may have saved a few ounces.
Thank you I'm trying to visualize that.... This went from bare metal parts yesterday to where it is today in between working and handling subs, workers and clients and a meeting with the city historical society.
I don't know if it will interfere or not it set fairly far forward of the tube I'm working within the confines of the stock bumper if it tells you anything
Thank you you can't believe what a struggle I had finding somebody that could bend that radius... And we still had to heat it and tweak it.

Although I agree, making a one off is WAAAY different from going into production. A friend made a *KILLER* rifle rest, and was trying to make more of them. He gave up - and I wanted one! I myself make a reproduction ancient Egyptian musical instrument called a "Sistrum". The first couple were easy, then I had to design for manufacturablity, and there's *always* something. Suppliers changing the FFF (Form, Fit, Function) of the components involved, having to source alternates when a component is suddenly not available from where you've been obtaining it, getting raw materials of the correct specs, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah...
The bumper is certainly worthy of production, but its a headache. That's why they're so darn expensive!
