The Duke Engineering Dash, when released/built, can be made to accept the stock cluster and you could add the auto meter gauges for a clean install/look.
Be aware, you’ll lose high beam indication, all your warning lamps, to include the check engine light. Some of that stuff can be retrofitted as seen in the lower picture that I posted above. I also believe AutoMeter sells two different variants. One is without turn signal indicators and warning lamps; the other has that stuff included, I think.

I like the 03-06 interiors far more than the 1st generation interior on the 97’s-2002’s.My plan would be to retrofit all the warning lamps like that last photo you posted.
I messaged Duke Engineering to see what their ETA is on the dash. The TJ dashboard has long been one of my biggest dislikes about the platform. Hell, I even prefer the YJ dash over the TJ dash. That and some of these aftermarket gauges just look better and can probably provide more accurate readings. I think the biggest issue would be figuring out the wiring, but with the wiring diagrams in the FSM, I think it wouldn't be too bad.
Still, it would be cool if someone made a plug-and-play harness to at least make things somewhat easier.
Customizing the factory cluster how? I don't think I've seen any other than aftermarket gauge faces.I like the 03-06 interiors far more than the 1st generation interior on the 97’s-2002’s.
The YJ dash is clean and minimal. I like it the most as well.
have you thought about customizing your factory cluster. Or put any thought into getting a used cluster to customize?
I like them.I don’t know anything about wiring but I prefer the look and customization available with Speedhut gauges https://www.speedhut.com/gauges/. I know was for a LS swap but @motomick76 used them so might be able to comment re wiring. I think he used the Autometer panel as well but wasn’t totally thrilled. You can get custom panel with all indicator lights from http://www.12voltunlimited.com/Jeep-TJ-Gauge-Panel_p_11.html
Yes, thats what Im talking about. The custom dash overlays.Customizing the factory cluster how? I don't think I've seen any other than aftermarket gauge faces.

I can appreciate the transparency. When he uses the words, “factory systems,” does he mean everything behind the factory TJ/LJ Dash?I actually like these ones. Way better than the typical white gauge faces.
I also heard back from Duke Engineering and this is what they told me:
Hi Chris,
We’re still designing the dash. Keeping the factory systems will be a huge challenge and I’m not sure we’ll be able to do that. It’s not really intended to be a factory replacement. If we did do that, it would be $2500-3000 per dash and I think that’s a bit higher than our average customers price point.
They can do completely customs ones and design whatever you can dream up. Their stuff is really nice, IMO.actually like these ones. Way better than the typical white gauge faces.

Curious to know if anyone here has swapped out their factory gauge cluster for aftermarket gauges such as Autometer.
I'm curious how to go about doing this, if it's easy to do, etc.
The engine will remain a 4.0, so this has nothing to do with a V8 swap. Pictures, info, and any links are greatly appreciated.
I like this!I like Speedhut gages, the spedo was gps unit, so do not have to worry about gearing or tire size. Also the speedo has elevation reading, and few other fun options. The set was $600, the Auto Meter was $200, but the steering wheel blocks top outside gages. I chopped off the OEM plugs, then traced the wires I needed, and installed new wiring for LS. I used wiring diagram also. I was able to do it all with this 16 pin plug. Then there was tools, wiring, etc which was another $150.
