What did you do to your TJ today?

Not bad at all, I did the door stops and the handles on different days but they are quick once you get the hang of it. The 2 door stops took me a total of 45 min. That's taking the original ones off including the anchor, measure what you need then sitting on my couch with the little ones catching up on some bubble guppies and Sofia the first. There r a ton of you tube vids on how to make this stuff but if you guys want me to make one I'll be glad to, would be my first vid ever. The door handles take a bit longer and are a tad bit harder to install but after doing it I figured out an easy way around it. In total I spent 8 bucks and used around 23 ft of 550 paracord. Be careful bc a lot of places sell fake paracord and if you ever really need it in an emergency you will be disappointed.

X2. I have three girls and two of them wanted to make them. So I showed them how and put them on it and walla, paracord grab handles....I think I'm going to have them double them up so they are thicker...also used 550 paracord, made in the USA!

After making my door handles I watched my Pittsburgh Penguins advance to the Stanley cup final!!!!!

I like Jagr & Lemieux's Pens better, but this version is quite good as well. I'm partial, the Predators handled my Blackhawks, let's go Penguins.

Those door handles, nice! I've had a set of those in my virtual shopping cart for a long time.

I grew up Pittsburgh and we loved him when he was here. He left on bad terms then when he made a come back he contacted Mario told he was yes back. Mario had it all set up and even made trades for cap. He bailed on the last min and didn't even apologize to Mario. He is a great guy and a great player but left a bad taste in the mouth.

Yesterday i wrecked it right into the back of a 17 ford focus. First thing he said when he looked at his car and then mine was, "I need to get a jeep!". Not a ton of damage but the $1,000 deductable kinda sucks.

Edit: Does anyone know where to get inexpensive body panels and a new grill?

Bummer!

1" Brown Dog MML installed. Installation was easy. Raised the shroud last night and had MM's on before breakfast. 2 hours tops. Shout out to Tim at Brown Dog for some beastly mounts! Called him for one question, easily resolved.

1. Jack under bell housing (you'll need to go higher than you think so place jack on several inches thick of scrap wood and put a 2x6 on top to distribute weight)
2. Just jack it slightly for now so weight is on jack.
3. Put a jack stand behind bell housing for safety.
4. Remove four transmission nuts under skid so you don't destroy your transmission mount
5. Loosen driver side bracket and motor mount
6. Loosen passenger side motor mount
7. Remove driver side bracket. You'll have to snake the bracket and motor mount out through the bottom. It's tight!
8. Remove the motor mount from the bracket on your bench top and replace it with the Brown Dog .
9. I tried to snake the bracket and new motor mount back up from the bottom as The instructions state, but I just couldn't do it. So I took the Brown motor mount off the bracket and put the bracket up from the bottom (use red loctite). Then take the Brown Dog motor mount and put it in from the top. Don't tighten anything down yet
10. Start lifting the jeep . It helps to have help so they can tell you when your lined up and slide the stock bolt back in with the nut
11. Remove passenger side motor mount
12. Engine should already be jacked up so place your brown dog motor mount in its place
13. You may have to fiddle with the Jack a little bit to get it lined up.
14. Slide the stock bolt back in with the nut
15. Tighten everything down according to proper specs. Transmission mount bolts are 40 foot pounds max. Motor mount nuts, nice and tight. You're through-bolts are not supposed to be over tightened. Really loose. Only drawback to the basic brown dog kit is no washers. You don't have to have washers, but they are supposed to be able to twist in this tells you if you're over tightened or loose enough. These are steel torque nuts and won't move. Washers or not, you don't want to tighten these a lot or you'll get vibration.
16. Check your Fan Shroud to make sure it's not going to hit.

Deflated and disconnected for the first time. Went down to 13psi. Crawled stuff I usually spin on! It changes everything.

Wow that is clean....nice work..(wish my interior was black)
Can't say that was on purpose! Just the right price at the right time! I've always preferred the black (or charcoal) interiors over the other options for all TJ years. We used to have a YJ and it had a grey interior. My dad decided to buy a tan desert camo vinyl mat for it with a tan soft top. I'm OCD and it was my daily driver back in high school. The clash about drove me nuts!

Went to open the drivers door, and the outside latch stuck open. It won't retract, and I now have to open the door from the inside. From what I've read, when the outside latch sticks open, a rod has usually popped out of place. Looks like I'll be taking the door apart later...

Oh yeah, also found out the window now won't go down all the way, so something is definitely out of place in the door.
