What did you do to your TJ today?

Moved again for the second time in two months. Drove through a rain storm too on the way to the new place. Pitiful luck.View attachment 16799

How much weight you carry behind that? I'm just wondering because I upgraded from an SE and could never tow anything to a LJ with a tow hitch and I'm curious

Well I have been previously schooled on how using the correct gear ratio equates to much easier get-up-and-goes with a trailer behind you. And I can tell you my 3.73 gears are not ideal. :D

However, if I took a guess it'd be about 1,000lbs? Trailer is 700lbs I'm guessing, and all my stuff is certainly a few hundred pounds.

I just make sure I get into the higher rpms whenever I'm pulling something like that!

OK 4WD in Stewartsville, NJ. They are big on selling Jeep (and others) mods/lifts/wheels/tires and all the stuff you didn't know you needed until you walk in there and see all the rigs these guys and gals own! I certainly figured they'd have a better handle on balancing the larger tires on our Jeeps but it seems that their 'tire guy' was just careless. Yesterday they put their 'front end' guy on it. Overall, I'm happy with the place and their effort to get it corrected without making it seem I was hallucinating when my steering wheel shimmied at 50 and my teeth chattered at 70.

This happened to me before. Had to open my passenger door to reach over and open my driver door. Definitely sucks. :D

If I remembered what I did to fix it then I'd give you advice! However, in this case I'm of no help.

I forgot to post, but I did get it working again. I won't say fixed, cause I think if someone pulls too hard, it'll happen again. I did push the threaded rod up (see pic) higher in its spot so the handle doesn't have to be pulled as far.

Painted my wiper arms, installed new wiper blades, installed 1" Transfer case drop then uninstalled 1"transfer case drop lol. After install it kept throwing me out of 4th into neutral.

@IronCity, was the t-case drop necessary to stop vibes? Because it kicking out of 4th is most likely due to the shifter hitting the center console before it's all the way in gear. Just unbolt the center console and slide it back 1/2" and rebolt it. 10 minute job.

Replaced the multifunction turn signal switch (with an OEM one from amazon). Its almost twice the price as an AutoZone or generic Omix-Ada, but when it comes to switches and sensors use Mopar parts if you can. The multifunction switch works great. Since I had the steering column covers off, I tried to use a heat gun to bring the coloring of the plastic back to life. Adding heat made the steering column covers look better but they are far from perfect. I'll probably just paint them with a little Krylon.
