Does anybody run the MORryde CB antenna mount? I am wondering if the powder coating on my hinges might cause any issues (or would the noncoated bolts carry through to the nutsert?).

I just took a scrap piece of steel and made one. I attached it to the silver nut in the picture below.

I don't have a close up, but you can see it here. It worked perfectly!

I run it and didn't need to remove any powder coating to get acceptable swr. I was prepared to remove it if I needed to though.

I run it, and while I didn't need to remove any powder coating, I did it anyways just for good measure, and I also used bonding straps from the mount to the tub, and from the tub to the frame, and then from the exhaust to the frame per @Mr. Bills recommendation.

The result is an amazingly clear CB radio. In fact, I've had several people comment on just how clear they can hear me on the CB.

Do you happen to have this written-up anywhere?

Also, the exhaust-to-frame one baffles me.

I don't have it written-up anywhere, but maybe @Mr. Bills will chime in with the link to the article he posted on bonding since it was helpful.

Like I said, I'm not sure removing the powder coat was necessary, but I figured I'd rather do it just in case. Not like you can see it anyways since the CB mount covers it.
