Moving very small distance with no diff fluid

Okay so Im stationed in a military base, and my Jeep has been chilling in the parking lot for a good bit now, waiting on parts. The Military police just put a sticker on it saying I have 3 days to move it out it's getting towed.
My rear axle and spider gears have been taken out and obviously I don't have any fluid in there.

How much would it hurt my Jeep if I just drove it like at most, 500 yards, very slowly, to the other side of the lot?

I will be replacing axle shafts, seals, bearings, and Spider gears as soon as parts come in. So I'm thinking it won't matter, as long as ring and pinion don't get fucked up.

How are you going to drive it with no rear axle?

Go talk to them 1st and explain your dilemma.

Have a buddy use a strap or rope to tow your Jeep those 500 yards, that won't cause any problems for your R&P gears.

I guess I am confused then.

The axle shafts have the wheel studs on them. Without the wheel studs, how are you going to put tires on the rear to move it?

I think you'd be fine doing what you want to do, but I'd go as short a distance as possible and make sure there is at least some lube on the internals as oppose to bone dry.

I suspect he'll reinstall the shafts and wheels before he goes on his short slow 500 yard drive.

Personally, I wouldn't think twice about doing this. If I was worried about anything, I might rub some grease on the ring gear teeth and shoot some heavy oil into the bearings.

My guess is that if it has no wheels, they won't be gentle when they tow it.
