Where do I add UV dye to the A/C system?

I have been searching for a leak after replacing my ac compressor. And I think it is the source of my leak. I want to add the UV dye. The instructions say to put it on the low side valve but it doesn't look like the low side has one. What should I do?

Locate the suction line running from the A/C Accumulator to the compressor, the low side service port has to be there.

Should not be, that is the LP switch. Follow that same line towards the compressor looking for the port, could even be part of the flange conn at the compressor. Clearly the high side port is right there on top.

Is it under the air intake pipe in the section blocked from view.

No. Look on the inboard hardline going through the firewall to the evaporator. The port is just out of view in your pic. That's your lowside port.

You purchased an injector kit of some sort right? Not just a bottle of dye?

Upper right in this picture, you can just see the port on the line coming out of the evaporator (firewall):

Spray soapy water into the ports, I located a leak in seconds this way. Replaced the valve and good to go.

Worth a shot before worrying about dye.

Do think so. How exactly did I recharge the system using an AC Pro can on that valve when the fitting won't even attach to the high pressure valve?

Look for a plastic cap on the suction line (larger alum tube) connection at the compressor. The low port on mine is part of the compressor manifold connection.

SOB it looks like that's correct, I guess they moved the low port to downstream of the orifice in the liquid line rather then actually in the suction line after the evap.

Which is the less than ideal pic I posted of my '01. On the low side, evap to compressor. High side is right above the thermostat housing.

IF after testing the two service ports with soapy water and you find that there are bubbles coming out; before going to the expense of replacing the service port valves you can take a small screw driver and quickly push in the center pin to reseat the valve. This will emit a small amount of pressurized gas, but will usually reseat the valve and stop the leak.
