Camping should be dry, but we might go up to the snow depending what people want. We will dispersed somewhere around hereIs this gonna be in the snow? What’s the nearest town for mapping purposes. So I can check out the drive. As of now I am not
planning on it. But have been talked into far crazier things than this.![]()
Sounds good, I get off work around 2pm so I would be on the road at 3-3:30pm and its roughly a 3hr driveprobably arrange a spot to meet depending on people’s schedules/where they’re coming from
Coming from south would upper lake make sense or no ? Unfamiliar with the areaprobably arrange a spot to meet depending on people’s schedules/where they’re coming from
Ok upper lake seems decentThe Upper Lake Chevron would be the best meet up spot. You can top off, grab breakfast at the Dunkin Donuts, or Carls Jr. and I can take us up Elk Mt. to Deer Valley Campground from there. @tomtaylz, if you head up there Friday, I can meet anyone else Saturday morning at the Chevron and take them up there.

I’ll likely try and meet @DylanM345 before heading in at that Upper lake spot as I think we’re going to be on the same timetable (leaving around 3) and then head in and find a spot good spot from there.
I’ll also be using my Garmin so I can send my location to any cellphone numbers who has cell service.
@bobthetj03 i'm guessing just find a fire ring already made around DV and we can camp wherever basically?
If you continue south on the trail and follow the ridgeline, you'll eventually come up to High Glade Lookout. There are some quiet areas along there as well.
