So me and my kids decided to wheel again this weekend. We decided to go to a different park. This one is called Wolf Caves.

It's very different from Hidden Falls. Hidden Falls is mostly limestone ledges and loose rocks. It's north east of where I live. Wolf caves is north west of where I live only about 45 minutes.

When we arrived the lady at the desk recognized me from church, they'd visited a few times. She called her husband in. They own the park. He gave us a complimentary tour from his 2002 TJ with 4" lift and 35's.

After about an hour he turned us loose. This park is crazy! I thought I would break something for sure. Here's a view from T-Rex Hill toward Flag Hill.

On to the wheelin! I stayed on beginner and only a few intermediate trails. They also have difficult, advanced AND extreme!

Yes, I got Rock rash! Yes, I hit under my Jeep! No, it didn't break. Yes, I need more lift and bigger tires to go further at this park.

Afterward went back to front office and they shared their story. Only been open a year and a half. Check out their site for some extreme shots!

How do you upload a video? All mine on the iPhone say the files are too big

Glad to see you getting out there and gaining sperience! You need to upload to a video site like utube or vimeo, then attach the link.

Looks like fun. Except for that part about rock rash.
Fortunately, it was only on the wheels. It could have been a lot worse

Next time you go let me know. There's a bunch of us from Texas who would love to meet up. Either at Hidden Falls or Wolfs cave!

Sounds good! I know the owners so we should get a group together and make a run. They're really great people. He told me his build path. He and his two sons all have TJ's. He started out 2.5" OME but really needed more and so added a spacer for now so he's closer to 4" with a 1" BL and runs 35's with flat flares. He has underarmor and rock sliders. You can see why if you go to the park. There's stuff for everyone down to stock, but I wouldn't run stock out there. I'm able to do blues (easiest) and greens (intermediate). Went for another run today since we'd already paid up. Saw a guy I saw yesterday with his JKU. He was eating lunch with his family. Said he'd been out that morning and almost turned his Jeep over. I wasn't too surprised...

Yes please! That sounds awesome. If we could, I'd like to get a solid date scheduled so that I can put in for a Monday off from work.

I'll also invite all the other Texans and hopefully we can get a few guys out there.

Man... I've been told the same thing by another Jeeper who has been out there. I'll have to see for myself though since I've never been!

Looks like you guys had an awesome time. When your wheeling out there it is always good to have the pit crew with you.

Tuffy License Plate Mount for Fairlead Hawser still in the box! LOL!

I was only asking because I installed my front bumper yesterday, which looks like yours and had to zip tie the plate.
You're more legal than me. I commonly see Jeeps without license plates up front here in Texas. I need to get mine on though. I'll let you know how this one turns out. It cost $26 including s/h

Pics of the new bumper on Jeep?

How about setting out a few dates and seeing what date is best for most TX wheelers to meet up at Wolf Caves? For the month of August I propose August 11-13 or 25-27.

Either send me a list of all the TX wheelers or make a thread and send out to all the TX wheelers. I can only think of Blackoutt, TMann66, you, ???, but I know there's several more. Just let me know. I'll be glad to do a good write up with all the details about pricing, et. al at Wolf Caves...
