Rock hit my window.

Yesterday went to the glass shop, did a work order and left key and agreed to drop jeep off last night.

3 pm today, checked with them.

No sir, we have your key and glass, but no 2003 Jeep here. Nope, just a late model one with smiley faces, sort of like....see attached image

You mean to tell me that they have the key and is the only jeep on the lot and they cant walk over and stick it in the door and figure this out?

Have we gotten that incapable as a workforce?

This is a place that has maybe six or eight vehicles at a time so it’s not like we’re talking about a car dealership. I think something about fourth the size of the dollar general.

If this is the direction things are going in the trades we are in bigger trouble than I ever estimated.

I own a construction company and I deal with a pretty good bit of stupidity...And I’ve seen a guy have a hard time finding a particular door or sort something out in a stack of material but we haven’t lost a vehicle lately...Or have been unable to find a house we have the key to and .

I did have a roofer take the roof off the wrong house one time because he got confused...If you want to send out How good a salesman you are let that happen. God was merciful on that deal.

ahh man, I work in IT and however stupid you think people are they can always amaze you with just how much stupider they can get.
I have people using their username and password to login to different things multiple times a day for quite a while, you ask them what their username is and boom all of a sudden they have no idea what you're talking about. People lack critical thinking is what it is.

The sheer level of idiocy I see every damn day never ceases to amaze me, and its getting worse. I blame smartphones for a lot of it.

I had a window glass shop send the owner's son out to my house to deliver a new window I'd special ordered. I get a phone call from the shop: "When are you going to be home?" "I *am* home right now!" A confused confirmation of address, and they tell me that the son says nobody's home! I look out the window and say, "Is that him in a grey Toyota pickup?"...

Turns out, the kid thought nobody was home because there were no cars in the driveway! Not completely a bad assumption since Floridians for the most part DO NOT park their cars in the garage - where both of ours were. In fact, I think we are the only people on our street that actually use our garage for what its intended for! In Florida - the absolute WORST climate in the country for leaving a car outside...

What did they think a 2003 Jeep looked like??? Unbelievable!

Buncha morons.

Who in their right mind thinks a TJ is a late model? Especially working in an automotive industry. Jfc.

When someone looks at you like you have 3 heads because you're changing out an open frame motor in a bathroom fan (instead of tearing out the entire assembly), the world as a whole has lost a lot of common sense and ability.
What is wrong is we as a society have lost the ability to prepare the next generation to serve others as well as how to survive themselves, which overlap quite a bit.

People won't even try. My tenant had a problem with the HVAC. Now, I don't know much about HVAC, so I generally let the pros handle it. But I figured I'd do a couple of quick checks, so took the top off of the condenser unit outside. Tenant was shocked, "Have you ever done that before?" he asked. "Nope, just figured I'd take a quick looksee...". Granted, I was barking up the wrong tree, and the pro needed to come out and fix it - but Hell, at least I gave it a quick try!

Maybe my ex-mother in law has a glass shop now. She always talked about her little Jeep and how good it did in the winter time back home in WV. Man, she loved that Jeep and loved to talk about it.

The thing is though, it was a Geo Tracker. I could never get her to understand that. Always called it her Jeep.

I got in an argument a few years ago, Had a few 2 dollar bills so i went to store to get a pop. the person would not tale the 2 dollar bill. so we had to call a manager to get it figure out. he had to call his boss over. luckily he knew it was a real currency and i got to but my pop,
Reminds me of a bad joke: Guy decides to make a bunch of counterfeit $18 bills. Then he figures that nobody's going to take them, but figured he'd go out to a hick town somewhere and pass them off on an ignorant hillbilly. So he drives out into the sticks, and goes into the general store in a 1 horse town. Asks the proprietor if he can give change for an $18 bill. "Sure", the guy replies, "what do you want, two nines or three sixes?". {Courtesy laugh goes here}

Back when I worked at a Ford garage I repaired the shifter motor on a transfer case instead of replacing it. So the gal in the office sent the ticket to Ford to get paid for the warranty work. Ford sends it back rejected payment. So she calls the Ford rep and asks why it was rejected. The Ford rep doesn't know so has to put a call into the office in Detroit. 4 days later he finally gets back to her. They won't pay it because that isn't an acceptable code. So she was like what code? They're like the code you used. She's like ok I used the repaired code? How is that not a good code? So what it finally came down to was that they didn't THINK of the shift motor as a repairable item. In their eyes it was only replaceable

Reminds me of the guy who got arrested trying to buy stuff at a Best Buy with $2s.

Nobody knew they were real bills, so he got hooked and booked.

Im worried for America. A friend hired an 18 year old young man, he did not know how to pump gas.

Bears take their cubs to the stream and teach them how to survive.

We give little Johnny everything and let him live in the basement and play video games.

Extended adolescence is a sign of this.

Well to ice the cake, my clutch crapped the bed as i got home.

58,000 miles....but.....wheeled hard...it was basically trailered when i got it ...was not safe past 45 mph due to control arm bushing failure and general neglect -

A new LUK clutch gets picked up tomorrow

I had noticed an occasional sticky second to 3rd upshift and then a smell...thought it was gear oil from a recent job....then It starts getting real fussy fast, only when running, and no slave cylinder issues and good pedal. But hey, my windshield looks great.
