Bestop twill top giant logo

Got the top on last night. The header bar does no fit at all. I can see day light in the pax corner and the driver doesn’t fit well. Outside of both windshield attach points, the header pulls aft and up.

My Supertop NX Twill top fit tight, and I had to work around a little bit of a hardware issue, but after 4 hours of taking our time, install was great. As stated I had to clean rust spots off across the header, and a few permanent small creases in the windows didn't go away, but all in all I really like the top so far. Wish I would have saved the money on the window sliders though. Real poor fit around the doors surrounds, and lower rubber molding has a 1/16th of a gap half way around. For all the money you spend on these, you would think the fit would be better. Had planned to also go with the soft top windows, but as of now, I won't spend another dime with Bestop!
Rust spots? My header is all plastic….

I have seen that on some videos others have posted. I guess I was lucky as all fit well and very tight. You may have to continue to work the fabric to stretch properly for the fit. Windows were very tight as well. Took a two of us and a bit of work to get the windows zipped. But then it was barely 50 degrees when we did it. So with the current warm weather you should have had no problem stretching. Did you get the entire hardware assembly with your top? I replaced ALL the hardware with the new kit.

My header fit is acceptable; the fabric (twill) is excellent and I quite like the sunrider feature.

What is poor is the hardware: bows rattling against each other with the top down (had to use straps to hold them) and powder coat on the bows already scratched - if they touch anything at all they mark. Apart from the sunrider (which really my wife wanted) I wish I’d bought a replace-a-top...

the OEM bows don’t rattle - there’s a foam pad just in the right place. It’s like Bestop didn’t learn anything from the OEM top...

I also noticed that the OEM knobs at the top of the door surrounds were way better quality than the Bestop replacements. But they did work fine. My factory hardware was boogered up pretty bad by the PO. So I wanted to replace everything. But I did sell all the old OEM hardware on CraigsList for $100.

I wanted the Twill fabric because it is supposed to be 3 ply, stronger, and insulate better. So far I like the fit and looks. Too bad Bestop can't make the upper door sliders in a matching color. I got Black Diamond because reviews said it was the closest color to the Black Twill. Looks like Gray not Black........but then it's Jeep. I didn't buy it as a show car. I bought it drive whenever and where ever.

I may be in the process of getting scammed by Bestop right now. I'm bent over the barrel, it's just a matter of whether or not they're going to screw me. I'll post when I know for sure (don't want to bad mouth them prematurely).

Yeah, my year old top's hardware is pretty rattley now that you guys mention it. Wasn't like that before. I'm constantly going around trying to put foam on stuff to fix it.

It was upper 80s when I installed the top. The left window is too big, the lower end does not hold the wind tight. It rattles bad. I’m going to try and rework the bar today. I didn’t expect any issues with the cost and rep.

They won’t scam you, but they will take it sweet time.

I haven't really driven it much since the new top. Took it out for a shakedown run and is seemed tight, no rattles, no air leaks, and a bit quieter than the old stock top. Ran up to 60 mph, all good so far. In the middle of a suspension lift and upgrade. So will be awhile before I can really take it out for a longer, faster run. Also want to run the garden hose over the whole top and check for leaks before I get caught in a rain storm. My issue was the upper sliders poor fit around half doors. Some small air leaks at sides and could see outside light at corners where they meet the half doors, and along the bottom edge.

I have mostly gotten over the logo. But the pin in the door surround to hold down the front bar is gone, in less than a month.

Im only moderately okay with this top so far.

Not to mention the Jeep logo is clearly visible in all the advertising and promotional materials! It's not like you don't know it's there when you buy it.

The gaudy Bestop logo comes as an unwelcome surprise.
You’re exactly right. When I ordered mine there was zero indication that it would arrive with the branding. The thing already has Bestop tags hanging all over it, plus the stamp now as well…

Got mine fit on the Jeep. I did receive a second kit and while talking to CS, they said to use what I needed out of both boxes to make it fit. The first top and most tubes were way off the new box I received. Its very quite in the city and not too bad on the HI @75. Now waiting on the refund and a shipper to return the box.

Do they sell repair kits for their tops? If so I'd get one and put a patch over it.

Otherwise I like the idea of putting some other logo, writing, whatever to cover it. I'd probably get a dark grey Jeep logo.

For the giant logo, it's fortunately outside the main waterproofing area - so I think I will sew a thick piece of velcro above it.
