Split Rear Seat?

I think it works for the 03-06 models, I just don't think the website was updated.

Gray denim Part# 5051311
Spice denim Part# 5051317
Maybe contact bodykits.com with those part numbers and see what they can do.
I bet you’re right, I bet they’re the same.

We’ll see what he says. Also, @Blackoutt and @TrooperJosh and @Kyle_W , is anyone game for a wheel in trip to Wolf Caves on Mar 17 or 31?
Those two Saturdays should work for me

The April trip is going to be to SWR. I’ve never been there but it looks very good. I could use some lockers and gears. LOL! Maybe next year....

@KCsTJ. Ok, let’s see what everyone else comes up with and we’ll set a date....

Also, you’re coming from pretty far away. You could camp at Wolf Caves or at my place. My place will be farther for you, but it’s your call. I live a little north of Fredericksburg off HWY87. It’s south of Llano about 38 miles. The trip to Wolf Caves from my place is ~50 min.

Tentative plan is to drive there on Fri, heck I can sleep in my jeep, to save space instead of hauling a tent around..

I have considered some mini van center seats that fold and tumble and try to weld in some brackets for them so i can do a split.

I'd like to find something minimalist, like a couple of jump seats...something that's only like 5" thick when folded up. Just for occasional use, not for all day comfort. I wonder how tough it'd be to put in the 3rd row seats from an MDX or GX460

The buckets out of a Polaris RZR are easily adapted for a single removable bucket in the rear. They mount with a slip fit bracket at the front of the seat (just make one from flat bar and nutsert to fasten to the tub floor) the rear of the seat is a quick release pin mount that will work nicely with a nutsert on a 3/8 bolt jambnutted to keep position. This is what we use when wheeling with only one kid. At least around here the RZR seats are quite available and cheap... like $50

If you can find one, and its a big IF, the folding front seat section from an old Willys Wagon can be modified to work as a single rear seat for a CJ, YJ or TJ/LJ. It can be folded forward when not in use. There is enough room along side for a cooler/fridge/etc. when it is in use.

Here is one in a photo harvested from the Internet:

I have a Willys Wagon front seat section that I scored many years ago that sits on a shelf in the garage gathering dust, but I can never part with it because I might want it for for the CJ-2 or CJ-3 I might get someday to match my Bantam trailer.

I saw a guy on a forum use bass boat seats he was of course wrecked for the lack of safety especially cause he put them in for his kids.....But im sure the CJ seats are just as safe as bass boat seats lol.

I remember there being a removable third row seat from a van back in the day, that would probably get someone 80% the way there. It had that type of split fold down seat setup, but I can't remeber what it was from exactly :(
Those Tumbler seats if mounted well and latching the booster or child seat to the body and cage well should be a nice addition, and easily folded away.

There's about a bazillion modern versions of that seat available in a nearly endless variety of shapes and colors including this nifty camo version from West Marine.

My Willys seat was either $0 or I traded something for it. The West Marine version for $80 works too, but for the Willys CJ2/CJ3 project that will probably not happen before I'm too old to drive the damn thing only a genuine Willys jump seat will do. ;)

Here's a WWII Ford Script GPW ready to go that appeared a few weeks ago at a local jeep club meeting, but it will never be for sale. At least not while the current owner is alive.
