Is there any benefit of going to a 16" wheel over a 15" wheel?

Lately as of six months or so 15" tires are at least $30.00 more per tire than 16" and as selection its about the same. There are 16" tires in other load sizes besides E. Falken ATP3 Wildpeaks come in several load sizes as can be see on Wallmarts website and others. Just my experience.

That said I did go for 15" rims when I upgraded to 21" tires. Not a whole lot of 21" tires in 16" rims

Oh really?

You can't be PAID to go with a 16" wheel over a 15" wheel? I would love to know why. I mean, you must have a VERY good reason to feel that strongly.
Because I would never want to be limited to the piss poor tire selection that comes along with a 16” wheel size.

So yeah, you couldn’t pay me, Rick.

Is that reason good enough for you?

I could be paid to run a 16" again.

Well my goodness, how much of a tire selection do you even need?

Also not mentioned is the ground clearance you gain, without having balloon tires on a small rim like a clown car.;)

The 2003 Moabs had a machined face.

The 2004/2005 Moabs were completely painted Silver, so I would argue that these were the simplest.
I don't like painted silver. That's where the Mamba copy fails and exactly why I don't run them.

I am open for payment as well since I currently run 16" ZJ alloys, ( sexy, sexy ! )

The only reason I went to 16" is nobody makes a decent winter tire that is relatively narrow , studdable, and
has a 85% aspect ratio in a 15" tire.

If I could get a 235-85R- 15 in load range C I would switch back to 15". ( so much for the endless choices of cheap 15" tires ).;)
But it looks like I will be soldiering on with my sexy ZJ wheels. :ROFLMAO:

I'll go against the grain and say the primary advantage of a 16" wheel is the better tire size options available. However, they're mostly all a heavier load range than is necessary for a TJ.
