House fire

I'm living at my house at the lake, I can't seem to get an electrician to come and rewire my house after my shorting electrical drama.

My house is completely powerless, I know I'm lucky to have another house to live in. Part of me wonders if my house burnt down maybe it would've been better? I know I could get a new house put up.

I talked to the insurance adjuster again today hoping he could get the electrician moving. I don't want to live at the lake in the winter.

I hope you have better luck than me.
Yes and no, but nothing is ever good after a disaster. If you had the whole house burned down, your electrical work would get taken care of, but something else would be hosed. When my house was getting rebuilt I felt like that guy that rubbed lamp and asked for a wish and it was granted but at some negative cost.

I wish you luck.

Still playing with ATVs @ac_
Yep, in fact on the 13th of August, we are going up quadding at Munds park, if they can get the wild fires under control. Right now everything is pretty much closed for camping/quadding if there are trees, and it is way too hot if there aren't.

I did have two, but I sold my spare to a friend. We are planning on going to Glamis some time this year. Probably just before Halloween. Lots of fun quad trips coming up.

Nice. We sold our older Rzr and upgrade to a new Honda Talon SxS. We had 2 quads, but Joan got tired of following me and eating my dust. And she still likes talking to me. We both really like the Honda Talon. Just got back from Idaho from a SxS trip with 4 other couples, was lots of fun!

Those look like a lot of fun. I wish I had room to store one of those. (and the money to buy one ha) It sure looks sporty.

When I saw the pictures of you and your friends, I know exactly what one was yours.
Ha Ha! Yep, I'm a sucker for "Red".
If you ever get one, let me know and you and Robyn can come join us on some of our adventures with them.

I was looking at a '16 Yamaha yxz, because it has a clutch and a shifter like a motorcycle. They were selling them really cheap because they were the first year, but it was still a bit expensive for me. I do like your Honda, but I don't know anything about them. From what I understand though they don't have a belt either right?

Do you still go to Quartzite every year? Do you take that when you do?

You are correct, the Honda Talon does not have a belt. That was one of the main reasons I went with the Honda, it has a transmission.
We don't go to Quartzite every year, only been there once. We do like the Nevada desert during the winter and spring. Been to Mina Nevada for their annual poker run a couple times. Lots of country to ride in there and see the wild horses.

Nice looking Yamaha.
I kept my quad, its the Yamaha 450 Grizzly.
Those Grizzlys are nice. I have kind of thought about getting a 4x4 quad, but I don't really have the room to store one yet. I just got rid of my aux sport quad. lol! I think though, if I was going to get something else, it would be a Honda like yours or a Yamaha YXZ. If I do get one, you better believe I am coming up and riding with you guys.

Good! I hope you do! :)

We got fancy and have a radio and voice activated intercom system. So nice and clear to talk to each other, then a "push to talk" bottom to talk to another rider in your group on the radio.

Those look like fun, and the view is amazing. I might be getting tired of tan and sand and cacti. Looks much greener where you are.

As a firefighter this thread is enlightening. We don't usually hear what happens after we leave the scene.

Sorry for your losses
