He was referring to "his" oil baths before a particularly good show of his. That's why Mrblaine couldn't afford him.Oil prices are through the roof....baby oil too. ;)

You don't actually need to. Of course it will be that one time you don't where somehow a penny or something manages to get sucked into your intake and destroys your engine.
Actually had that happen to a brand new 406 engine I built for a friend. It wasn't pretty.

Ok. Some of you need some basic manners. Seriously. Attached is a photo of what I did. All I can say is that driving the TJ with same barometric pressure, same air temperature, humidity, and same fuel,..... with this modification, my TJ doesn't seem to bog down at 1500 rpm and it now maintains 90 MPH on the highway. Before the modification, I had the peddle to the floor (literally) to hold 78 MPH. So,..it is what it is.

This picture was posted last night and now I see there are three more pages of this thread. I just went to the refrigerator for another Diet Coke while I read.

Well... If he happens to drive past the plant that manufactures Aquarium gravel and sucks that into the intake..... it will cause internal engine damage.

Seriously though, Ingesting abrasives thru the intake and into the combustion chamber can cause scuffing of the cylinder wall and piston skirt which will can result in oil consumption.
I have seen it on vehicles where people install CAI with shitty filters. hint...hint.... K&N.

Will it happen in 10k or 50k who knows.
So dirt goes in, air/gas/dirt mixture explodes, exhaust valve opens, exhaust leaves. Correct so far?

My guess is we'll never hear back from the OP.

Notice a trend here? Someone does something stupid (modifying the air box), posts about it, people tell them it was a bad idea, then you never hear a single word after that.

I don't think anyone meant to offend the OP, we were simply trying to tell him that what he wasted his time doing will make zero difference whatsoever.

What do I need to do in order to make my jeep pop and spit flames?
